Metronome turned on but not working (problem solved)

The metronome can work before, but suddenly it can't.
I have checked its output, it's toward my scarlett solo.
Oh and it can work fine on a new project.
Can someone please tell me what happened.

If it's working on new projects, you may have just turned it off.

In the transport, there will be a metronome record and playback button. Make sure the one you want is selected.

Also, go to Edit > Preferences > Project > Metronome. In there you can look at the metronome settings and see if everything is set properly. You could even A/B it with a new project.

Finally, check the metronome bus. Make sure that hasn't been muted or routed to a different output.

No, I have turned it on.
And I'm pretty sure that I clicked on both metronome record and playback button.
the settings in Edit > Preferences > Project > Metronome in current and new projects are the same.
And muted and output are same too.

Maybe it's a bug?

You have all your FX bypassed in the project as it's saved now. You can tell if you look at the mix module, the 'FX' button is highlighted.

Press the 'E' key and it will toggle them back on.

Yup, the Metronome is just a plugin in the background, tied into the UI. Enjoy!
