OMF is a pretty problematic format across many hosts (SONAR/Premiere/Cubase/Logic/Final Cut). Avid moved to AAF (Advanced Authoring Format ) as the primary way to exchange projects between different systems, while OMF has not been developed or supported actively for years.

What DAW are you bringing OMF's in from?

On export, many SONAR specific features aren't supported in OMF, like Region FX and Audio Snap.

Having collaborated and worked in studios with various DAWs (Logic/Cubase/ProTools) over the years I've fallen back to using Broadcast Wave files to transport between DAWs.

I try to bring an Premiere OMF, because i mix and master the audio for a short movie

I just click on the OMF file, it opens the Sonar Platinum and ask to me when i want to save, i set the location, and it asks where is the files, i point click ok and crashes

I try To get all WAV files, and it is a lot of files, 5 files per take and the video editor made all the cuts.... i try to use the OMF, because it's easy for me just mix, master and fix some audio problems, if i get all the wav files and put in the Sonar, i have to cut all over again

That's my problem, i need to bring all of the cutted and sinc audio from Premiere, and bring to the Sonar, but in separate files for each scene

If that's another way to do that, please show me

And thanks for all of the support

Any Ideia?

If you can, could you share the OMF project with me so I can test on my machine? I can at least replicate the crash and check out some error captures.

If everything is exported as Broadcast wave from premiere, once you import into the SONAR project all of the audio should line up together relative to themselves. Unless you've set SONAR to ignore the timestamps (toggle).

Then you'd just need to adjust the start time to match the video files.

Is it a separate project per scene or is it one continuous cut?

It is various audio files trimmed for each scene, so the movie is complete, i just mix all of the audios for each scene and fix some inssues

Just an update on this for other users who are browsing.

For some reason the OMF wouldn't crash on my machine, so I was able to convert the project to CWP for the OP.

We'll continue to dig into why this is crashing on OP's machine.
