Help please.

So I just bought this game, and I know it's good because I used to play it all the time as a kid. So I booted it up and the game itself ran just fine but the cursor wasn't working. It was flashing in and out and I couldn't select anything. I had to quit it using task manager. Then I tried Mahjong Quest 2 and it came up in a little window. Everything worked fine then, so I went to options and checked "full screen". Then I started having the same problem as in the first one, so I guess I just can't play the games in full screen. That would be fine except now when I start the game it's already in full screen and the options button doesn't show up. I tried Mahjong Quest 3 too, and that also loaded full screen. The options button is showing but I can't click it because the cursor doesn't work. Is there a keyboard shortcut or something I can use to get the games out of full screen so I can actually use my cursor? Oh, and I'm playing on my laptop and I have Windows 10 I believe, if that helps. Thank you!
