Logitech G920 wheel not connecting to Steam/Project Cars
I have done a lot of digging on this topic but so far the only thing that I have discovered is that there are a lot of people that carry the burden of the Logitech wheel connectivity issue. I didn't suppose that mine might be that different, how ever me testing the proposed solutions so far hasn't worked.
The Problem: Steam Cannot seem to detect my Logitech G920 wheel for the life of it. Mine is the xbox version. I have my controller support settings set to the xbox setting and xbox extended setting (which changing that setting from the general gamepad one has solved it for a lot of people). Since I cannot get my controller to be detected, Steam fails its firmware troubleshoot scan thing. In addition, the wheel and pedals are fully operational according to my windows computer, and will work in Forza from the windows store. I also have the button and dpad, and bumper (paddle shifter) control when I start up Project Cars 2 in the menus. I have full connectivity in Logitech G Hub (though sometimes it takes a couple tries for it to be detected). I also have Logitech Gaming Software and seldom can I manage to see my wheeI on the app. I have done my best to keep up-to-date on firmware from there too. I have also tried unplugging and restarting steam several times, as well as restarting my computer, and unplugging my wheel from power.
If anyone has more ideas to try or if they are having a similar problem please help I am getting desperate.
PS: My apologies for the long post but i am trying to be as descriptive as possible so that anyone with the know how can help.
PPS: I hate Logitech and their apps because they hardly work up to par. The wheel is fun tho.

I had the exact same problem, Tried everything I could find and still no solution. My only solution was to reload windows fresh and linstalled ogitech G hub. Worked a treat, hope this helps.

That's super weird considering I have only had the game for a few months and I used it all the time, only for steam to stop detecting it.

I contacted Steam support as well but they don't give a single piece of their mind about it so I am trying to complain some more to try and get more answers from them. Short answer was that they don't support the exact controller.

Hi, it happens to me a lot. all you have to do is delete the following file in your save folder:
default.controllersettings.v1.03.sav
The save folder is something like this:
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Project CARS 2\savegame\86622804\project cars 2\profiles\

Once deleted, you can run project cars 2 again and you will have to rebind / redo the force feedback settings again. But it will detect your wheel. This happens every time the Logitech driver / hub updates.

ArcTheSpark - you made my day! Thank you so much , your advice made my PC2 work again after desperately fiddling around with Windows Control Panel, Logitech G-Hub and Steam for about an hour or so - after the latest unprompted auto-update of the G-Hub app. Seems like a worthwhile consideration to uncheck the 'auto-update' box of this insidious little buddy.
