Audio mix?
Hello I am wondering if anyone else is having difficulty hearing tire scrub & other traction related noises. I found the tire sounds to be very quiet in all vehicles I have tried, and currently have most sound settings around 50 with tire sounds left at 100. This seems to be helping, as in I can better sense when my car is at the limit of traction when turning and braking.

Is this normal? Are my ears shot?

I had to turn them down. Do you any sort of EQ software that may be muting your highs?

I had to turn down the tire noises as well. They are set very loud by default IMO. Are you using headphones?

Hello, I am not using any type of EQ software, unless Windows 10 Is doing something by default that I am not aware of. Thanks for the tip to check though.

I am using headphones, Turtle beach brand in stereo mode.

When I get home later I can try a different pair and also my speakers to see if that helps and maybe my headphones are the problem.

If so far 2 people say they had to turn them down, I feel like the tire squeal/scrub should be very loud set to 100 and everything else around 50s and it is not. I will report back after checking.

I don't hear the tires squael almost. Good 5.1 setup. I wonder if you increase the tire scrub volume if it creates even more smoke in mirror...

I confirmed that I do not have an EQ set on my playback device, and tried my normal pair of headphones - Turtle beach Ear Force X 11, the scrub/squeel sounds OK with tire volume at 100 and other things set to 50-60.

I tried another pair of headphones, SHURE brand model SRH840, which I used to use for monitoring audio mixing, and same thing. I guess it is just my ears or preference, thanks for the suggestions to try.

*removed download link. Values are below!

My settings for PC2 Audio. Tried for a week to set them so I could hear all the sounds. Project cars has great 360 positional sounds. If you can't view png I will post settings below. Everyones setup is different, so what I hear and see will always be different. Copy your own settings first. Looking for better audio setup to, if you care to share your settings.

* too loud shifter noise. Don't rename the GearChange files. I had to put back.

PC Audio from top to bottom in case of different language.

Thought I would bump this audio mix topic up. Does anyone use Dolby Atmos on W10? I am experimenting with preamp and equalizer software that allows me to use Atmos on (tested) with effects. More testing to do but so far it boosts the sounds and gives me better sound seperation with the above settings. You can even shape the sound of your headphones various end uses. While I test this software try the settings above, after writing down your own preferences.

Peace. Listened to a lot of music last night between races. Caught up on a lot of 60's 70's 80's.

They do not make music like that any more, but I will always love rock and roll. I will maybe make a Atmos preamp audio mix guide for PC users. *I've done testing and it works!

There are some games that are Atmos enabled. Would that blow others cars off track if PC2 paid for the Dolby licence and sold it as an DLC. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Google Peace Preamp Equalizer if interested. Youtube tutorials here. It's free easy to install.

*edited to cut guitar video. Helps you to appreciate WMD audio engineers Thanks.
