I NEED a handbrake
Hey,
I have a Logitech G29 wheel and I really need a physical handbrake of some kind. I see videos of how to make your on but I am foolish with money so I just wanna buy one.

Any ideas?

get a cheap USB flight stick and set the -Y axis of it to be the hand brake (i assume your talking about a hydo hand brake style?) if another hand brake i dont know if they exist. im suggesting this becuase you could buy a Fanatic one but that would cost over £100 including adaptors.

Interesting, I use the left one with my H-shifter.

Fanatec works well in AC, if you are using it with a non fanatec wheel, you will need to buy the usb adaptor from them as well and then update the firmware ( easy to follow instructions come with ) to work from usb.

It was straight forward to get going and works in Dirt, AC, Pcars and RF2 and probably loads of others too. It costs a bit ( I bought mine in their last sale which they have from time to time ) but if as you say you have money to spend then it is sturdy and has a strong spring and long lever so you will need something solid to clamp it to .

If you have the money get a Heusinkveld handbrake. It's really awesome and makes the Fanatec HB (which is good but fragile) look like a toy

That's about $230US.

Yeah, but worth them :)
Anyway I had the Fanatec before and it's a very decent choice if he does not want to spend more

As a quick fix, I select auto clutch from the settings menu, then configure the clutch pedal as the handbrake. This works fantastic as it's already analogue, quick access to my feet and almost feels natural. This way I can use the paddles for the gears and also my shifter. Make sure to adjust the strength of the handbrake (not all cars have one) in the tuning section before the race starts.

What do you need a handbrake for?

Ah maybe thats where I am going wrong with the rallycross circuits lol.
If you have a shifter you could probably use that as a handbrake and use the paddles to shift. It would be sad to see it used for that purpose but you can

That's a very good idea! I dont use my shifter or paddles as I drive on auto gears anyway. Cant be bothered with gears in games, they are bad enough in real life.
