I am sorry to not help here but after Kaspersky has destroyed my Windows 10, I do not use it anymore and am very satisfied with Bitdefender.

Also having problems. For now i'll play the game on xbox.Could xclude it but this game's been acting weird since day one. ( my 1080ti lights doing weird things when i start the game) Kaspersky is saying it is a legit program being used by hackers... not sure thats the case but from what i see on the forums the devs are not a friendly bunch so i might reconsider buying their products in the future. Too late for this particular game but these kind of unnecessary problems coupled with devs that are unable or unwilling to communicate with the community to resolve issuses results in a loss of confidence by potential consumers...

Best fix for this is to remove Kaspersky. On drive Anti-virus programs do not protect your system anymore than Defender. Using common sense (not visiting unknown links in public forums, clicking banner adds, pirating software, using every porn site you can find, opening spam email, etc...) will keep you virus free. In the event that you do some or all of these things (which most people for some reason do) then you aren't going to keep you PC clean with Kaspersky or Defender or anything else and will need to employ a portable AV system that cannot be compromised as it is not installed on the infected system.

That said - active AV programs are not and have never been gamer friendly.

I had this problem too but Kaspersky found in the PC2.exe a Trojaner named: "PDM: Trojan.Win32.Bazon.a". This Trojaner blocked my Browsers(Edge, Mozilla) and the Browsers on my other Computer. After I deleted Steam from my Computer my Browsers weren't blocked any more. On the next day I downloaded Steam and downloaded Project Cars 2, but the Virus was back and this time Kaspersky blocked the Trojaner. Then I setted my Computer new up and I decided to download PC2 any more. Yeah that's my experience with PC2. I hope I could help you somehow. :D

The problem isn't Steam or PC2 it's your PC being infected. 99% of the computers that come to my shop are filled with viruses. On the average system I find anywhere from 100-1500 viruses (this is on a single system). All of these computers have an active AV subcription installed whether it be MCAFEE, NORTON, AVAST, AVG, PANDA, Kasperski, etc.. These programs don't do anything if you are not proactive in making sure you don't infect your system.

Stay away from non-mainstreem porn sites, torrents, cracks, pirated books, movies, music, banner ads, opening emails you don't absolutely recognize, cheat programs for games, etc...

I'm willing to bet many of you do most if not all of those things.

Might be time to format your puter and reinstall everything. Download a portable AV to a jumpdrive.

I've been virus free for 15 years. There is no reason to be infected, unless you are doing crap you shouldn't be doing, period.

I know I didn't said that it is PC2. I format my computer already. That thing with the Virus came after the last Update from PC2. Its a great Game I really liked to play it, but I'm not shure if I should download it, because if I install it and the Virus is back I think that isn't worth it.

If you did Format and reinstall it is not a virus. It is a false positive from your AV. Uninstall your AV and turn on windows defender. Do not underestimate defender - it is just as good if not better at detection than most commercial AVs. Malwarebytes (free version) is the only on-drive AV worth its salt other than defender.

You may need a removal tool to completely remove Kasperski from your drive as it acts as ransomware (this is true for most all sub based AV). Otherwise it will block your browser and give even more false positives prompting you to reinstall the AV.

Kaspersky never blocked my browser. The Trojander had blocked my Browser. I didn't tested it if PC2 works after Format and reinstall. If the Trojaner is still here I don't want to Format and reinstall again and I don't want to delete kaspersky. You know the Trojaner only can do something
when I start PC2 and if I download it and want to play it then I have to delete steam and format again. I don't want to risk it
