Multiplayer VR issue

I normally play this in VR with my Rift S.
Everything seems to work fine in single player and I can join a game that I'm invited to, but I can't host a multiplayer game. I can set things up and start the session, but the invite button doesnt' respond to a mouse click. It highlights like it detects the mouse being over the button, but clicking doesn't work. It just says "waiting for players" at the bottom center where the start button normally is. At that point the back button is unresponsive as well and I have to alt tab out the the game and close it from the taskbar. I've verified the game files and they are OK.
I've also tried this in non VR mode and the invite button brings up my friends list as it should.
Graphics and Oculus drivers are current and I'm running it in SteamVR mode rather than Oculus mode.

Is this a common issue, and is there a fix for it?

Just to make sure, are you launching PC2 from Steam in both scenarios (i.e. you don't have PC2 also from the Oculus Store)?

I don't have it from the Oculus store and am launching from my steam library in both instances. I click the play button, and when steamVR is active it will open the requester giving me the option of normal play, Oculus mode, or SteamVR mode.

Hi, Bubba, did you ever resolve your problem in PC2 where you could not host a multiplayer VR race, being unable to select the INVITE button? I have the exact same issue on my new gaming PC.

I never did figure out that issue. the people I used to play the game with have sort of moved on to other games and i stopped playing it a while ago.
Sorry I don't have a fix for you. I know issues like this when you want to play with a new toy are frustrating.

Thanks for the reply. I had PC2 installed on another PC for the last 3 years and it worked fine. Moved/installed on a new PC started this weird issue. Fortunately my racing friends can invite me to their game instead.
