Ginetta G40 Junior
Is it possible to change the characteristics of some vehicles in any of the updates? I have a current problem with the Ginetta G40 Junior. In Time trial I am on average with GT4 Porche Cayman or Audi V8 slower from WR about 1-2 secunds. Only on longer laps with many turns it is more than 4 seconds. But with the G40 Junior I am also on short circuits (one lap 1-1: 30 minutes) slower from WR over 3 seconds. In the leaderboard, quite a lot of players have extremely good times, and I don't think they were all cheats, rather I came to the conclusion that G40 was faster in previous versions of the game. Is that possible, or just the G40 doesn't fit me in some way.

There haven't been any changes that would reflect multiple seconds. You likely need to spend more time with the car and understand how to drive it. You can push that car a lot harder than it might seem initially.

Here are some setups if you are interested:

And the top times in the leaderboards have been recorded way later than the last update to the game, you can see details here:

and here:

It's just that some very fast people have logged times in time trial with the G40, but not with GT4 cars...

In addition to what Mahjik said, I see that you have set the autoclutch option to on...set it to off and this will give you "for free" a few tenths per lap, especially with his car it makes gear changes happen much faster.

Thanks guys. I use some new settings and autoclutch off so I managed to improve my time on Snetterton 200 by about 700ms. This is probably my maximum, but I am quite satisfied with this time.
Even with autoclutch off I did not have to use clutch to shift, so I do not understand the purpose of the setting.
In those setup links for the G40 junior, it's probably a mistake because I have some items unavailable. For example, I cannot set the weight Bias on the G40 Junior.

Good job! Some cars require different driving styles so may not be able to jump from one to another and be instantly as relatively fast.

It depends on the car. If you shift a car that requires a clutch, without using a clutch, it will change gear but you lose time as there is a delay in the shift. Most race cars only use a clutch for starting from stop (and I can't remember if the Ginetta is cluthless shifts or not).

Trying running vintage car without autoclutch and you'll see a difference. ;)

I honest rarely use others' setups, but it's possible that individual confused the Junior with another Ginetta model.

Consider that:
If the track is short, like the best times are 1:20, and you do 1:22, it mean you are 2s off the best time, so it is 2/80 (2s divided by 80s of the best time), so you would be 0.025s/s (0.025 seconds per second) slower than the best time.
If the track is longer, with best time at 2:00, and you do 2:04, it mean you are 4s slower, but just 0.0334s/s slower than the best time (what would be about the same pace as the shorter track).

Use the best times just as reference but not as literal reference. Longer tracks have usually more turns or longer straights to make the difference, but once you improve your driving skills, you also reduce a lot your lap times (while on shorter tracks you usually reduce less).

Also, consider that.
If a track you do a much faster pace than other tracks, you just learned that track a lot more than the other tracks.
If most tracks you do about the same pace but one track (or some tracks) you are much slower, there is still a lot to learn at that track for you to get to the same pace.
