Clio setup for Brand Hatch Indy?
I am struggling to get a Clio around Brands Hatch Indy circuit without a lot of oversteer. I used to love the Clios in PC1 but in PC2 they seem to be very twitchy and difficult to set up so that you dont keep losing the back every time you go around the fast corners like the infamous first corner and the last corner before the pit straight.

Anyone have a good setup for this car and circuit?

I have lowered the differential setings to make it a lot less jumpy but still difficult to compete with the AI drivers on even 80%.

There were some big discussions about this car (both RL and in-game) in the official forum, posts there explain the why's and hows: (in short the oversteer is induced on purpose to make the car rotate better in corners)

I'm no expert on car tuning but found softening the rear suspension/anti roll bars and not to lifting off the throttle too much going through the corners helps

The first thing is definitely softening the rear anti-roll, while hardening the front anti-roll. Increased diff locking promotes oversteer on power, but reduces oversteer on coast.

You can correct oversteer mid-corner by flooring the throttle, provided you're not going too fast.

The PC2 Clios dont have antiroll bars. I have altered the differential. Still not a very easy car to drive compared to the PC2 Clio for some reason.

Been having hours of fun learning this car and track on the redline server during off peak hours.

oh ♥♥♥♥ yeah lol, bin a while since I've driven it, sure you used to be able to, or maybe that was on PC1

Cheers that has helped a lot I will try all of those things and see if I can get a decent race against the AI cars. I used to love the Clios they were so much fun in PC1, but they are certainly a large step up from the Ginetta Juniors in the PC2 career. I can drive the GT3 cars well in this game but the Clios are really tricky!
Hey, glad it helped! Yeah, the Clios might be relatively slow, but they are certainly not easy to drive, I don't think they should be considered entry level really.

Anyway, I know that driving them at first looks frustrating, but I suggest to give them time and try to drive them the way they are meant to be, in default setup without trying to tune the oversteer out. When (after much practice) they start to click and you manage to control their rotation with throttle control (full throttle - they grip, lift off for more rotation through the corner) it becomes very fulfilling and makes you glad that you've spent the time practicing them!
Select "Spool - ON" from the differential page. It'll calm the Clio down and after that, it's rather easy to drive. I won't go into technical details as y'all can read from technical page what it does.
