You can correct oversteer mid-corner by flooring the throttle, provided you're not going too fast.

There were some big discussions about this car (both RL and in-game) in the official forum, posts there explain the why's and hows: (in short the oversteer is induced on purpose to make the car rotate better in corners)

Cheers that has helped a lot I will try all of those things and see if I can get a decent race against the AI cars. I used to love the Clios they were so much fun in PC1, but they are certainly a large step up from the Ginetta Juniors in the PC2 career. I can drive the GT3 cars well in this game but the Clios are really tricky!
Anyway, I know that driving them at first looks frustrating, but I suggest to give them time and try to drive them the way they are meant to be, in default setup without trying to tune the oversteer out. When (after much practice) they start to click and you manage to control their rotation with throttle control (full throttle - they grip, lift off for more rotation through the corner) it becomes very fulfilling and makes you glad that you've spent the time practicing them!
