120 AI difficulty means that they have bonuses to HP, grip and other stuff?
i am curious what it means .. i thought at 100 AI difficulty they drive as perfect as they can, but their cars are original. 120 AI means that their cars are slightly better and they have bonuses? Or I am mistaken? I would prefer to drive with the original cars at 100% AI difficulty but without them having bonuses to speedand stuff ...

100% means just that... The AI stays within the reasonable physics boundaries. Beyond 100%, things go beyond those boundaries.

However don't focus on the numeric number. Just find a number that gives you good races and use it.

I agree with Mahjik. I would add that sometimes you want to put more than 100%, sometime less.

I observed that IA is generally slow when it's raining, and I can beat them even at 120%. When it's dry, no way. At le Mans, 120% means that IA GT3 cars will be as fast as your LMP1 car ^^

At the opposite, if I want to do a race at nurburgring nordschleife with less usual cars, and I don't want to spend hours in free practise on this track, I just put IA around 80%, as this is not the track that is meant to be drive at the limit.

thanks Bros .. so i guess I just have to tweak those settings around 100 depending on what i want ...

If 120 is basically unbeatably how can i and other people beat them sometimes (not all the time)

I would have thought it would be just better setups not bonus power and grip. I wouldn't know because I've only done couple dozen single races with Ai.

It depends on tracks. I spent a lot of time on nurburgring GP this days with LMP1. Under the rain, 120% is easy to bit.

On dry, I beat them "quite" easily at 100%. It becomes really challenging (for me) around 107%. Above it requires a lot of fine tuning too. But still IA seems unbeattable on some turns, and very slow on others...

Don't expect IA to drive perfectly as pro drivers could do. It's just...IA. And don't expect 100% to be like human pro. It just gives you an idea of the level, but as ..SMILER.. it also depends on each track and each car category.

Also remember that IA run a hugely simplified physic engine. So it could not be as impacted as you on ambient and track temperature, track grip differences etc etc...

I was think of playing single player championship thing as I'm getting Board of multiplayer but not if the Ai cars don't drive like my car does. It will be turned off asap if they have unrealistic cornering speed. Never noticed it with any other game I've played before

The Ai is a dummy and poses no real threat even with 120% unless there are tight corners that they can go through faster than you, because of the "rails" they're on and simplified physics. They also rubberband and go even faster than the actual cars can do. In this video I've lowered the downforce to minimum and tweaked the gears so the car can go fast as it goes when the slipstream is in play, tough it's apparent that supercars come where ever they wan't, slipstream or not and just rubberband them selves next to you and pass if you yourself don't have slipstream.

Not quite what rubberbanding is.

i just finished the first championshp with gt5 at full ai (120) and it was to easy won ever race by over 20 seconds. is this it or will it get harder. they didnt seem to have extra speed in corners or straights. when it started raining they were even slower?
