Not cars radar in race?
Hello everybody,

There is no radar like eg "helicorsa" in assetto corsa or in the next Gran Turismo?
it will make it possible to do as clean a race as possible.

Thanks.

PS: Sorry for my bad English, I help me with Google traduction.

thank you but I'm talking about dead angles.

"Crew Chief V4" helps me a lot to avoid accidents. It is a freeware tool that adds a very useful spotter voice, warning you instandly if an opponent comes too close.

There is also an arrow system in the game that changes color as the car gets closer so as to avoid contact. It is almost as good as the car radar in AC

It reassures me, thanks.

But the arrows are less precise than "Helicorsa", and "Crew Chief V4" is only in English and less precise too. Too bad.

Just too arcady... radar sounds like an assist to me.
If you cant use mirrors, headtracking, or head camera movement then I dont know what to tell ya.
Its a skill you need to acquire

I was trying to assist the OP, not be insulting to anyone who was trying to help him. I didnt say I needed or used it, just that it was there if he chose to use it. Must be lonely up there.

Same here.
my message was directed at the OP in response to those.
(not you)

Just the tool sounds like an ArmA mod or something.
The game already has mirrors and head movement controls.
Then the mentioned apps...
Not sure why the OP is aiming for something so specific when there are plenty of things in place

Id prefer the app using audio over something popping up distracting me from the road

The best pilots of assetto corsa uses helicorsa. mirrors are not enough to fill dead angles.
Or i buy the HTC vive, no?... :47_thumb_down:
But thanks anyway :)

For me, using VR made helicorsa obsolete. Nothing beats the quick look around, together with a reliable spotter by your side.

Without VR, helicorsa and ohter tools are NOT CHEATING, they are the best compromise, to compensate your lack of situational awareness.

Yes but the VR is expensive and an application like "Helicorsa" is excellent for people who do not have VR or not triple screens.
I will content myself with the arrows of the game. Thank you all the same :)

Well from what i read in an earlier post, he is not native to english. So even though crewchief is the best on the market (only my opinion) he cannot utilize the app because of the language barrier. The head tracking and VR are expensive options that not everyone can afford or would want to invest in. So the best option (again, only my opinion) is the included arrow system which is not all that bad really.
I use the in-game awareness arrow markers. They are a bit big and bulky, and come on when cars are a bit too far away sometimes. But in general they are decent.
They let you know if a car is just behind you, on your side, out of the view of mirrors, and where you can't turn your head far enough to look.
It is ideal for overtaking or being overtaken. It shows and changes colour depending on how close it is, but once the car is far enough forwards to be in view even slightly, the arrow is gone.

Not ideal, but handy. Better this than nothing, in my opinion.

Use the D pad to view the track on the radar, cycle through a few times. It's in the top right corner.
