PC2 Setups Database? Ginetta setup?
Struggling with the new setup menu to get a decent setup is there a database for this game yet?

Particularly struggling with the Ginettas around Oulton - no matter what I dio they seem to slide away at the back - considering this is suppsoedly an easy starter car to control I am really struggling to control it. I think its the differnetial I need to change a bit. Any advice?

It's a known trye problem, fix on the way apparently.

Are you throttle/brake balancing? If so you can soften the rear antiroll bars, possibly increase camber. If you can transfer the weight to sit on the back of the car it will understeer instead. Check that your rear tires are getting up to temp. If not lower your tire pressures on the rear. You could try giving the rear more toe in although that will only really work under braking in a straight line. Try these one at a time, if not send me a friend request and when I'm next on I will have a go at setting one up.

I have the same problem. Tyrepresure is down to 1.3 at the back (1.4 front), sway is at minimum (rear), tc at 55%, rear-toe up to 0.6 (front 0.3), ballance-weight maximum to the back and the car still turns in at the end of each turn.:steamfacepalm:

I am having a similar problem with the Radical except in reverse. It hooks up great going in, then the back end rotates nicely, at this point the front end just shuffles between grip and no grip like it has too much front weight. I don't see any setting to change the weight bias.

I have always found the Ginettas tricky to balance but it seems trickier in this game. I found moving the weight as far back as possible, plus softening rear suspension, increasing the front tyre pressure and reducing the rear a lot, increasing rear camber and playing with the differential settings has improved it a fair bit but its still rather unstable to drive.

Guys. Hahe you got any tips to setup Ginetta Junior to get a little faster? I'm struggling to qualify on Silverstone in Career mode and I'm 12th all the time. My lap time is around 1,14 while best AI can go below 1,12. I've pretty mastered the track, race line, tried manual and automatic gearbox with standard and short gears set but can't go under 1,14.

edit:
After that i finish the race 1st with 7 seconds lead from 2nd place.. Something is not working like simulation here..

It's because the AI is not AI at all and is just following predefined scripted pathfinding. They are not on the same physics model as the driver (like almost every other sim out there) and have a tendency to drive faster than the car is capable.

Basically the AI is just animated collision objects that pose as extras on the track.

Do the Time Trial at Oulton in the Ginneta and check out someone elses setup. Oulton is quite tricky in the Ginneta these days. My issue is the Gbox changing down but overall it hadles not too bad.

It's sad.. I was hoping that career mode will be pretty good competition and will give much fun but the more I am going through it my disappointment grows.

Will have to try to compete online but it will need loads of practice while I am not that advanced racer.

I usually use automatic and shift up/down when I need it, especially if I'm just learning the track but manual gbox is surely the fastest option overall.

Thanks for reply guys. Good driving.

Thats not different from any other racing game tbh. Its just more noticable in this game because of the myriad of different cars and tracks that all need testing. Whereas if you are making a F1 game you just have one basic car type to model and test. I would rather have a varied game like PC2 than F1 anyday though. Ive had a lot of fun out of F1 games in the past but PCars is completely different

You're right. But I think PC1 has a more consistant AI. I find it more competitive. Maybe they'll still improve it in future patches I hope.

I had a great race at Snetteron in the dry the other day with the Ai taking over me on their faster corners then me taking over them on my strong areas of the track - I enjoyed that race more than any I've had in 200hrs of PC1.

I just would like to see the AI defending more and being a bit more aggressive when you try to overtake them and doing things like blocking the inner corner so you have to go outside sometimes.

I would also like them to be more unpredictable so they dont always follow the same line every time they come to the same corner. Because if you can predict what they will do you can take over them everytime easily. I would rather have a struggle to get past them.

It's no AI then if they're predictible. It shouldn't be called like that if they just move around the track by the same line all the time and doesn't react at what is going on around them. What AI difficulty you are playing at?

60% with 50% aggression I dont want them any faster than that.

omg, to see some toughness in ai u should put it min 85, best 90% with 50-60 aggressivity....
