I'd say it's 50/50 on whether people like using a pad. If you aren't a sim racer though, you may find it's tedious getting comfortable. I will say this game has a really great driving feel but the learning curve with each car may be a little steep for casual racers.
I was able top play PC1 with a gamepad but I'm having a harder time with PC2. Haven't decided if I'm refunding yet. Still have about an hour of playtime to decide. If I do, I'll likely buy it again after all the content and patches are released. It's clearly a great racing game.
Yeah the control scheme of Forza is optimised for controllers with consoles in mind. While there are many wheels available for consoles, most people don't have them so they design the physics with that in mind.
That's really the difference between 'arcade' games and 'simulators' - the control devices they're designed for.
I really appreciate the quick replies.
Yes all cargames usually have wheel support. But i dont feel Forza felt good with wheel. im not right its just my opinion.
Forza 7 doesn't expect someone with a Fanatec sim rig to be playing, they expect someone with an Xbox controller to be playing, so they optimize for that. Yes, there are wheels available - as I said - but that doesn't constitute the majority of their target audience. Even then those wheels are really toys compared to real sim rig gear.
That in mind, if you're going to play with a controller, you ought to play a game designed for controllers. PCars 2 is designed to straddle the barrier between arcade like Forza 7 and hardcore simulator like iRacing so it does cater a little to controller, but not like Forza 7 does.
TL;DR - you'll be happier with Forza than PCars 2 if you use a controller.
you´re probably right need to get it some more tweeks.
Just like i did with pc2 by getting this great file by jack spade for FFB to pc2.

You will be fine once you get used to how sensative the game is to inputs. It is designed for a wheel, but you can enjoy the game with a controller. The team gave more attention this time around to controller inputs and feedback.
Just be patient.
Like everybody says that SAS should hire that guy!
