I think not many people actually drive with a clutch.
The percentage of people with a sheel is small.
The percentage of people with a wheel, clutch pedal and shifter is smaller.
The percentage of people with a wheel, clutch pedal, shifter, AND actively use all three... it's probably a pretty tiny segment of people.
It must be a bug, it HAS to be a bug.... And I hope to God they fix it.
For now, I turned on automatic clutch. It still allows me to use the clutch pedal, but prevents the clutch from not engaging when I release it. Problem is, when I actually do make a mistake with the clutch, it doesn't register in the game.
I had shifting issues with the Sierra Cosworth and one of the 70's classic cars, though it was mostly when being lazy downshifting. If I heel and toe it's fine but I was sunday driving taking in the sights. There is a "simulated" delay I think on some of the older cars but anything modern has been really snappy for me.
You really should disable automatic clutch mind you.
Besides, I watched a Race from a youtuber with manual clutch, in his videos shift times seem much shorter than what we are forced to, even in old cars.
You absolutely need to lift the throttle for up shifts. If I drive it in that way, I have no problems, you also don't need to use the clutch when doing so.
For downshifts, it has the same behaviour I noticed in the Sierra. When heavy braking for a corner, if you do not blip the throttle it will not engage properly, so it really requires you to heel and toe when racing.
So, are the developers going to read this or do we have to contact them?!
Would you mind going into detail a bit?
You mean they are still working on it? I hope they get it right.
maybe they will never changed clutch :), but it sure it's not finished.
Maybe for Project cars 3 :)
Your daily driver is much different to a race car designed to withstand high torque over sustained periods.
I hope I described the problem good enough, I'm not a native speaker.
From a game perspective, keeping your foot pinned to the floor is an exploit many have used and got away with in certain sims for years. Having a more accurate model for transmission should not be criticised simply because you have to adapt.
