Driver swap with AI

In PCars 1 you could driver swap with an AI for endurance races, I have been trying to do it in PCars 2 but cannot make it happen. Would someone please let me know if its possible and if so how to do it, thanks.

Ingame when racing bring up your menus, (D pad on my wheel) and its the last option below pit stop or something like that.
i havent done it personaly but I think you have to drive into the pits to make the change.
