Same here. Tried running the game as an administrator and nothing either. This needs to be fixed ASAP because I can't change a single setting, it just gets lost when you quit the game

FIXED - Bitdefender blocked the application from saving files. To fix the problem:

open bit defender > protection > view features > safe files > application access > unblock PC2

I resolved the issue by changing My Documents location to a local drive. It would not work using my Network drive location, which is very annoying. I'll have to keep changing it every time I want to play.
Process Monitor showed an error "no such file" D:\192.168.1.1\mydocs\project cars 2\savegame\70793348\project cars 2\profiles\*.sav

In Windows 10 Fall Creators Update you must add exclusion for pCARS2AVX.exe in "Controlled folder access settings". "Windows Defender -> Open Windows Defender Security Center -> Virus & threat protection -> Virus & threat protection settings -> Controlled folder access -> Allow an app through Controlled folder access". And developer should ask devs of antiviruses about right detection of their executable files to prevent these access troubles. If you use any other AV, look for similar settings. Cheers everyone!

I don't have bitdefender. Yesterday it worked just fine, this morning it won't save anything. Nothing else changed. I use Avast anitvirus, and it doesn't give me an option for an exclusion list. My windows defender anti-virus also has no option to add anything to an exclusion list. So now what?

if you have file sharing on, the fix is simple, just right click the game folder what ever drive you installed it on , then scroll down to give access to , specific people , then yourself. done..:)

I'm not running bitdefender yet coming up on the same issue. I ran game as administrator, worked for about a week and a half, but now game data won't save again, and didn't change any settings.
