Ariel Atoms not returning?

What other cars from the first game are missing? This popped out to me in a car list because they're sorted alphabetically.

I'm glad there's a bunch of new ones to try but after seeing how the track list is mostly carry overs from the first game I was surprised to see some cars didn't make it.

Yeah, it's great to have so many new cars, but at the same time I'm going to miss certain ones like the Atom. I just found it a bit odd since I'm used to racing sequels building and adding to the previous rosters of cars and tracks instead of ditching a bunch of them. And from what I can tell PCARS2 has all the old tracks of PCARS one, yet all the cars did not carry over for whatever reason.

Chalk it up to licensing costs and priorities? Grabbing some of the bigger name manufacturers like Lamborghini, Nissan, Ferrari, Porsche, VW, Honda, Jaguar was more important than keeping some of the old ones around?

I'll definitely miss a few of those on the list. I understand manufacturers wanting their latest models to be showcased rather than older ones, but I'd have liked to keep the 12C alongside the newer McLarens.
Not sure why we've had to lose the Formula B or the Superkart since both were fictional anyway.
I'm a little surprised we're losing the Ariels... I kinda expected the Nomad to join the Atom this time.

Why would you remove Formula B? Maybe they have plans to release a proper GP2?

That's disappointing, I really enjoyed running the 300SC. I just getting back into the game after taking a year off. Does PC2 have an open wheel track day car thats similar to the Atom
