HUD Problems?

I was wondering if anyone has HUD issues in the game.

What I mean is I have gone into a race, go to the HUD Options and modified as I want. However, when I start a new race, it's back to the default. When I go into HUD options, I see that for example, in Cockpit Mode, I chose to have the Rear View Mirror on top and when I go back to the HUD options, it's there and all I have to do is exit back out and it shows up..

Also, while on VR (using Oculus Rift), no matter what changes I do to the HUD, they all stay there "floating in the air" along the VR view.. very distracting and annoying, even after I set it to "Light".

Anyone has seen issues like this before?

I'm reinstalling the game right now (also deleted the folder in My Games, except my Save Game, not sure if Steam will download that back..).. but hopefully it fixes it..

Reinstalling did not make a difference.. When I go to HUD Options as a matter of fact, I cannot make any real changes.. For example, if I set the HUD to light, it does not reflect any changes to how I set it..

Any ideas anyone? :)

Yes, I did have exactly that HUD problem. Saved it tons of times, it always failed.

Now it stays exactly how I set it.

No idea how or why. It just decided to work! Maybe it was just fed up of me shouting at the Monitor

Minimal Race Position on the HUD is broken will always show as 99/99
(the full version works).
Other than that no real issues with the hud for me.

I do wish the hud was more customizable though, kind of strange that you can't just select from a list of different hud elements when you go to change them, instead we just get a simple full/minimal/off option. Should have the option to choose any of the hud elements that are in the game (For example the telemetry ones, or the best lap timer that is in that view which is different than the potential one). -- With that said it's really a minor thing, I mean some games you can't even customize the hud at all, but would be nice.

It seems to be bugged pretty bad I guess.. I know I can hit the left D-pad to cycle through a few different options but the fact that it doesn't save is pretty annoying.. Argh!

I sometimes use the rear mirror but it never shows up when I load the game but If I go into hud options and click save and then come out of it then it shows up,

Found the solution : While in game, toggle HUD display with you HUD display shortcut key and it comes on.. it worked for me and I'm sure it will work for everyone whether Console, PC, etc.. if you not sure what you HUD display shortcut key, go to your controller key assignments and look for it, and if it's not assigned, assign it and then go back to the game or race and toggle it on.. It's better you do it o'n custom race first before coming online, otherwise you will ram other racers on track..

I was horrible for me, I was racing with no information, I thought I can finish the race, I only have to see the chequered flag.. At the race results I had +58 seconds on penalties only.. was dropped to last in the end..
