Easiest/Hardest cars to drive with a controller?
So I decided to start investing in a entry level racing wheel. (Most likely a Thrustmaster TMX or a used Logitech DFGT) but for now I'm still using a pad.

For all the pad players out there. What do you think is the easiest and worst car to drive with a controller?

These are the cars I personally found to be the easiest.

1999 Mitsubishi Lancer (I mainly use slower AWD road cars)
Ginetta g40 junior
all WRX rally cars
Formula X (Surprising good with a pad)

Worst cars to drive with a pad.

Nearly all the GT3 cars
(Even with hours of adjusting controller setup and a decent car tuning, I can't keep these cars under control. The Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 is likely the safest car to drive with a pad.)

Lamborghini Aventador (For some reason I thought this car would be easy to control since it a AWD car.)

Formula Rookie and Ginetta G40 GT5
(I have NO IDEA why these two cars spin out at such low speed! My guess is the lack of downforce.)

I would just stick on sterring assist and brake assist until you get the wheel.

And I would lay off online until then.
Even relatively slow cars were not easy to steer for me using the X-Box one controller..

i haven't jumped into all the cars, i turn the assists off (except pit ) and have found using a controller poses no problems except throttle control (sensativity)

V8's like to fishtail under hard acceleration,so i just shift up to counter it,i had a wheel/pedals etc but took up too much space

With no assists driving the rookie using a pad you pretty much need to be on the throttle all the time, get your braking done early and throttle thru the corners, if you coast the corners you will lose the car. Start with the clio at brands hatch, every corner you try and coast thru will see you lose it, but get your braking done and throttle thru them, it will make you see clearly hows it's done.

GT3 cars are some of the easiest to drive with controller, it may be down to your config, what's your controller settings?

Yeah I learn that the hard way after coming dead last in a online GT3 qualifying. Even after many flawless laps I was still 2 second slower than the rest of the pack.

I can also confirm that wheel users can go around long sweeper corners (Such as Road America's 7th corner) much faster than any pad players.

Offline is okay. I just had turn the A.I. difficulty down to around 20 - 50 for a fair race.

I intentionally left the speed sensitivity down as it help me in the slow corners

Audi R8 LMS is great to drive with a controller. I do not use assist except ABS.
