Fuel Calculator
Situation is completely lame, just run out of fuel in a race because this game lacks indication about fuel per lap consumption.
First it should automatically suggest me the fuel needed to finish a race, as it would in real life and as it works in assetto corsa. Second there should be a lap calculator based on last two lap... like in assetto corsa.
Anyway setup interface is not clear and is terrible compared to the AC one.
Please sms, is easy, just fix this.

There was a fuel calculator in PCARS 1, why they removed it in 2 is beyond me....

in practice, take note of how much fuel you use each lap going full speed.

Very hard...

That is the whole point of Practice, Practice, Practice then Qualify, no?

It's not hard but:
1. the setup save system is buggy, and almost all the time it doesn't save the settings, many times i had to retire from a race because it started with 5 liters even if i changed and saved before start
2. it is extremely easy to implement so why not?
3. you don't even have time to change setup (and then pray that it is not buggy) because people is going to kick you for not being ready on time.

Easy to implement, yes. But why? Test laps and experience are not that difficult, something you can take with you for evey race. *Pleaase Mr. Teacher* Hand me a calculator during this exam...

So that's the key to knowing precisely how much fuel per lap for each car/track/setup combo....

All this time I've been practicing to shave time off my laps when what I should have been doing is staring at my fuel gauge, Thanks you saved all of us from embarrassment.

Please use your native tongue. Google translate didn't do this post any justice. Good thing you've let us all know you're a mathmatical genius otherwise I would have taken you for someone who struggled throughout their remedial education..

My apologies. I just do not understand why you would need a fuel calculator when all that’s needed is a test lap or two.
selanderk Nov 2, 2017 @ 7:32pm
Why is it needed? Really? When an F1 team does a lap at about 90% power they instantly know how much 100% would be on fuel usage and how many hot laps they can in a race. They don't just practice and learn. Its a perfect art of the science.

I guess I could see lower tiers not having this iinformation but when your with the big boys this data should be known.

Fuel consumption meter as a compromise perhaps.

Try Z1 Dasboard...

Exactly! The dashboard provides all the info about fuel consumption, like average fuel use or highest and lowest fuel consumption per lap!

Doesn't show compatibility with PCars 2 unless it's the same as PC1.

No use for me since it can't be viewed in VR.

Plus I can't justify paying another $25 for anything that should have been included with the game

Sorry,

I was talking about the LCD in car dashboard (I am playing VR myself). You can define a key to switch dashboard mode for many cars, and one of the pages deals with fuel consumption. Very useful!

oh, thank you very much. I wasn't aware of it showing fuel consumption per lap.

Therin lies a lot of problems with PC2, or rather not a problem with the game itself, just with players not knowing about the in game options.

I don't see much information on using the in car LCD display or the ICM. Like @moving-target mentioned, the in car display shows avg. fuel per lap and the last lap fuel used. For example, my favourite car is the Porche 911 and on Monza I know by the LCD display it's using an average of 3L per lap, if I am running low towards the end of the race I can reduce the ICM fuel to lean mixture and reduce it to about 2.50L per lap. (the default is Rich Mixture).

What I mean is there are many posts with gnashing of teeth, complaining of lack of some features, when they are in-game to start with. For example a Forza/GT player coming in to the game may not be aware of options like this and have a poorer experience.
