Arcade gamer, is this one for me?
Hi guys how are you?

I`m an arcade gamer, i use some assists in race games, automatic shift...... the game looks amazing talking about grapichs, but i don`t know if it will be for my play style, at a xbox gamepad and all arcade like i said before

Should i try this one or just leave and go with games like Forza 7?

Tks

You'd probably enjoy Forza more if you're more of an arcade fan but you might still find something to enjoy here. I think you should probably wait till it's on sale though

Thanks for the opinion

Once all assists are turned on in both titles, PCARS didn't play much different from Forza 6. I expect this round to be similar. If you're into collecting cars then probably get Forza. If you want to (eventually) go deep and learn the physics, get PCARS.

I too would suggest a look into Forza, there is a "free" version of Forza 6 on the Windows Store (glorified demo).

Whatever you do don't buy the "premium version" of Forza 6, if you like it wait for Forza 7.

Pcars 2 is still a very pretty arcade racing game, If you turn on the assists I`m pretty sure you`ll enjoy it as much as any other arcade style game. Maybe looking ahead you`ll start to turn some of them off as you drive more and again this has you covered, It`s not a pure sim anyway it`s an arcade physics racing game that you can up the curve on nothing more.

Probably going to be the best arcade racing game with a fake sim feel for a good few years, I`d get this one.

Answer is yes. I say if you want to get into sim racing jump into Project CARS 2. Game should be as close to realism as possible. Live Track 3.0, Multi Class Racing, Official Indycar, Official Le Mans cars and ISMA (which is basicly the racing championship league in USA, WEB is european one), open wheel Formula cars(C, 3.5 Renault, A, and A 2018), Historical GT and Open, (in my opinion) best racing community (most people are fair and highly competitive), Touring Car Championship(awesome racing class which is WTCC), WRX (another cool motorsport), a great list of road and track day cars, ESports intagration (if your into that sort of thing or if you want to get started), Online Championships, very flexible Career mode to race what you want when you want, play at your own pace type of handling by turning off and on assists to get better and faster and pushing players to turn them mostly off. and much much more!! (list can go on)

Dispite the problems that people had with Project CARS like random crashes, minor bugs, controller disconnects, (my issue as of now) Desktop Background going to default on AMD graphics card (so weird), minor issues with steering and weight transfer on some cars when pushed to the limit and doing somewhat of the complete opposite on most cars when correcting (more likely to slam the breaks instead of trying to throttle steer the car). People still loved the game and still used it for Esports racing. I'm sure all these issues are worked out of the new game since the programmers have had a chance to go back and redo a lot of the code. Hopefully net code for players with 200+ ping get a better game as well.

In conclusion I think we will have a much more polished game this time around, hats off the the guys that programmed Live Track 3.0 you are amazing, never seen anything like it in a racing game.

Unless you want to go with some less simulation type handling then go for Forza 7 or Crew 2. If a demo is launched later, like the previous game had one, defently come back and check it out. Keep it in your wishlist or follow the game. The community is always looking for some new drivers to race and learn the game (Most players are super nice and don't mind helping out others to keep competition close with all drivers). Also check players broadcasting it through the steam community page(more likely after launch on the 22nd) you might get more information if it is the right game for you. I've liked this game and this company since their Need For Speed Shift series and I was excited to see them take the games back to the Need For Speed roots which was simulated racing. Heard about Project CARS and I go oh man I know these guys from somewhere and looked online found out the same company that did the shift games. Slightly Mad Studios listens to the fans and real race car drivers to make the best product for the gamers and themselves because they love sim racing as much as we do. Glad to be part of the community because after all it is a Community Assisted Racing Simulator.

Also check out the website http://www.projectcarsgame.com and their Youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvo1uDCdrst5WrfkYNMkP3g to get more information on the game. Hope this helps.

I am arcade racer myself and as car as i remember my expirience with original project cars it was a great time! All this cars and tracks detalization, cool graphics and so on. Multiplayer is no go for first time.
And some cars had broken physics. Carts are literaly undrivable imo.
Later i found a friend to play with and i enjoyd pc even more.
Asseto corsa is good alternative to. More in simulation than fun aspects.

Ya arcade racing to Project CARS is a good step I came from TOCA 3 and Grand Tourismo. (Project CARS has) Best tire models I've ever played in a racing sim since Race '07. At least the cars stick to the track instead of slide around. I started in the GT3 class with RUF GT3 at mazda laguna seca. Was super cautious on first couple of laps because I thought it would slide around a lot but found out I can really push the car. I'd say get your self in the GT3 class to get the hang of the game because most of the cars are really balanced and drive a track you really know that isn't an oval.

Has a small learning curve to get use to the sticky handling of the tires but feels great once you know what the limits of the car are. I've always liked running harder tires because I can get the car to slide out of the corner knowing I have more tire than a soft and it just feels right for my driving style.
