game development history
1. there was someone inventig a method to pwn everyone, that method got nerfed.
2. that nerf was so powerfull, the high payers cried.
3. the nerf got nerfed, here we are. and here we go.
the only balance, is that if you find a way to win, it gets nerfed.
the only way to adapt, pay or throw away all your progress and start grinding or paying again. i grinded the game for months, 24/7 and paying some money here and there, i got in top 100, and one small change made my ship useless.
my gameplay was watching adds to rush room upgrades around, 2 weeks of time a day, by watching add after add after add after add... took me half a year to realize how hopeless my whole situation was. and some mental issues.
the only balance they got is your money on their bank account.
the game was build around "rush command" reloading your sysstems to a certain %,
some crew can get 100% = instant recharge, this is the meta for any high end viable ship. sending multipe crew on your ship do destroy vital systems, using galactic alchemist to burn down anything in split seconds, "can be countered in theory" but no one does it, its useless... i tried, better go for rush and galactic alchemist yourself.
Also you can use AI to make your whole ship spike or burn down your phone and drop out of pvp, GG
they call it twitching, an adaptive AI always going where no crew is, and the only way to defend boarders is going where the crew is, they just dance in place. nice gameplay.
TP is too strong, has the power to instantly destroy anything and counter anything, no room has that ability.
you can actually send 11 galactic alchemist on the enemy ship in 5 secs wihtout the enemy doing anything, letting everything burn down, only means to counter that would be 11 crew with urgent repair, which are the worst crew to have ever, making your ship useless because you run around like chicken trying to fight a fight you cant win, every system goes up in smoke and you are unable to restore functions to counter, what you need is items which are hugly expensive due to random generated stats, having fire resistance which i coulnd't afford, where one item = 100 euro and i needed 2 each crew for every galactic alchemist i wanted to counter.
the game is set that the attacker has 1 frame advantage means you have 1 splitsecond to start using your stuff before the enemy, justkeep attacking and not defending for MAX BALANCE, the game itself is set for unbalance,
why is there no such ship, too expensive. a maxed GA with BIS maybe costs around 50k starbux or more, which is around 1k $
also, you only need 4-6 galactic alchemist with 100% rushers and you are gucci destroying 99% of all ships out there, you can throw out all your systems, except one lazer TP and cloak. speaking of balance,
all those other rooms are just decoration :) balance...
you can say the game is balanced if you only look at lvl 1- 10 2-3k trophy gameplay. beyond that reigns insanity. and to give kudos to PSS, even wow classic couldnt handle the end game meta scaling problem, untill today into current expansions they struggle... so its not their problem, its a basic fact in RPG videogames, you will always have that one option which is just better to choose.
Teleport should not work unless the shields are down.
That would buy a second or so for both sides to 'do stuff'.
The game would still rake in lots of money from people willing to buy money, but the top end pvp would become far, far more interesting.
Easy fix.
