Gods and their bonus(es)
I'm curious if you get minor bonuses from gods you fully unlocked, while playing another god? Or do you get only the bonus from the god you are currently playing?

Asking that because I would find a neat idea to be only able to win on the hardest difficulties if you had several bonuses from several gods.

More related to the title than the content of the opening post, but it would be nice if the deities had major and minor traits, with the major ones being defining for the deity(IE nightvision for Horos), but the minor ones consisting of a few options you can pick among as you please. Maybe even a general pool of deity traits to further customize your play style a little, independent of what deity you choose to play with?

I guess the 'villager focus' is one such aspect, and a fairly big one at that, I'm just a bit of a junkie for customization options.

Oh, I'm slightly disapointed ... I would have thought that maxxing a god would help on subsequents games, if only with a minor bonus, so you can crank up difficulty level.

So basically, you max a god, and then restart from scratch with another. No carry-over, even of a tiny bonus...

I would like a "build a god" option where the more I play it, the more potential I unlock. :)

With a build a god option you have to have unlocks from each god tier, so you reason to level up all the gods to unlock more options in the builder

Haven't seen all unlocks yet, but it seems a lot of the early buffs are very similar, gather faster, research faster, etc. I do hope they get more varried later (like ability to see at night, which is cool buff different from others, feels unique).

There has to be differences between them, right? It would be nice to see some stats the gods bring, to see if they actually have difference when selecting a god, with the overlapping buff descriptions.

One suggestion (unless this happens during late unlocks) for the future, could be optional, or potential mod; Have downsides. Atm you get more stats, as you get more familiar with the game. It would be nice to see you getting those buffs, but taken something away from other areas too, to make each good feel more different, just not a list of buffs to choose from, but buffs and unique challenges to choose from.

I like the build-a-god option, but doesn't make much sense Lore-wise and might be OP.

Oh, and sorry for necro-ing an old topic, but it's a cool idea...

What if we got like a small bonus from maxing the god's level, maybe their level 2 buff or just some random new buff that was similar to their concept.
