Clicking an item right after winning a challenge let you dismantle it right away. You are NOT in the inventory. You are still in the "event window". Right before you see the Exp and Research gained from the event.
So I really dont know what you're talking about bro.
If this is a weight issue, I would prefer a 2 step deconstruct / throw out process so I can keep what I want to keep, recyle everything else, and then throw away the raw materials I do not want / are too heavy to carry, such as wood.
I rarely deconstruct at the end of a challenge. I worry I will deconstruct something I want to keep, and do not want to rt click everything to be sure. I'd rather do it using the bulk deconstruct every few encounters.
Wood? String? Fur leather? Quartz? Bone?
Consider I've got crafters sitting at home twiddling their thumbs.
Typically I bank about 1200-1500 wood or something, then once my crafters get to work on mass producing food or whatever, I sink to 500-600, even as expeditions *bring wood home*.
Then, if I've got a load of fur leather or something sitting around, I pump it into items for research points. Yes, some things don't give research points, but often those materials are useful to help items that do.
Like one-hand swords - if I remember right, 4 quartz and 2 quartz plus wood catalyst yields 4 research points. But 4 bone and 2 quartz yields 2 research points. So if wood is plentiful, and you have bone sitting around, just pump it into research. String's useful as a catalyst, etc. etc.
But yeah if some people want a discard option, why not. Not something I'd ever use, but if people want it, sure.
Yes I absolutely like the 2 step deconstruct that way you could sort of what you want and what you dont want.
On the other hand, I just don't see a reason why it would be bad to have the "discard" button option. When all you can get is some wood and bones at turn 250...to me it would simply be a straight up discard.
Discard button could lead to discarding things by accident.
Effort required to implement discard button could alternatively go into things like villager sorting.
etc.
I think you're missing out on something here. I'm talking about the event window. When it says "you have won the challenge". Then you scroll down and you see all the loot. You can click once to dismantle ( you are still in the event window, not in your inventory ).
What I'm suggesting is that it would be nice to be able to click TWICE in order to leave a specific piece of equipement there without looting or dismanteling it.
So here's my question: Have you ever dismantle something by accident in the event window?
I never did because you can rotate the selection on the item. You can leave it as it is to loot it, click once to dismantle it and if you click a second time it remove the dismantle option and you go back to looting it. You can even click on it a third time if you change your mind again.
What im suggesting is that we had a third choice. You leave it as it is to loot it or you click once to dismantle or you click twice to throw away or you click a third time to go back to looting it or you click a fourth time to dismantle it or you click a fifth time to throw it away or you click a sixth time to loot it or you click a seventh time to dismantle it or...
