How do I remove Heavily Poisoned without the Healers Hut?
My town got the poisoned well event, they all got poisoned. I brought them to the Healer's Hut but they refused to remove the poison from my people because I failed the challenge. So I wasn't reading carefully and just did the other option which was Attack the Healer's Hut, which luckily resulted in my people being healed however the hut was now gone.

Now my people have all gotten poisoned again and I can't figure out how to get rid of the Heavily Poisoned debuff... is the Healer's Hut really the ONLY way to get this poison removed?

The heavily sick debuff will go away with time. The number next to the heavily sick icon shows how many turns until it wears off.

It's not impossible but it is very hard to get rid of it without the hut. There are some random events that can cure it but you need good RNG to get them, there's no reliable way to do it. I destroyed the hut once and I pretty much instantly quit the run after that, either do that or just rush for the cosmic quest and finish it. Dragging the game out without the hut is not a good idea.

I got everyone in a viper pit at the start of the game...heavily poisoned, lol.

The Heavenly Hog (which appears after the Cosmic Seed quest is complete) can cure poison.
I never had the herbalists hut even show up in my last game, which was a bit awkward - I had one gatherer stuck in town battling Deadly Poison from about turn 30 until the Heavenly Hog appeared.
