Hog quest Dwarf

It seems there are two different ones: One can huge 2H as a 1H (and is hence better), and the other cannot. Is there a way to ensure you get one, and not the other? Or is it random?

You need a dwarf in your expedition to get the dialogue option for the good one. Sidenote: I think the good one is always named Wilbert and the lesser one Wilbor.

I know how to get the Dwarf. But I am wondering if there is a way to ensure I get Wilbert and not Wilbor.

Uh. He just said that you need A dwarf in your party to enable you to gain the better of the two.

He anwered exactly what you wanted, and then added that you can tell them apart by the name as a side note.

Oops. I misread him. My bad. I thought he said you need a Dwarf to ensure that you get one of the two Dwarves - not the better one.

But now I am still confused though. I always have at least one Dwarf (usually multiple) in my Expedition by the time I get the Holy Hog quest. So I still don't completely know what to do.

I'm pretty sure it's just 50/50 regardless of what you have in your team. You can check the events in the editor.

To be fair, I never actually had the holy hog event as far as I can recall - something to look forward to, to be sure. :3

for those wondering... the one you want is named "Wilbert". that's the one with the ginormous strength score (45!), and who can wield ANY 2h wep one handed. the other is just a normal dwarf.

just tested this by save scumming the event for the last half hour. I had the dwarf smith with me, and he does have some added lines of dialogue durign the conversation. I have no idea if that influences the event or not, likely it's just flavour text.

but yeah... Wilbert.
