If you mean the 1 for 4 Cosmic Quest town trade, then I think they are worth it.
Hmmm, don't know of this trade. Is this after you finish Cosmic Quest? If so, then I've only sided with the humans and Elves, not Orcs. So I have no idea how this works out.
Ah, ok. I am not sure what trade you mean then. I tend o not to read texts much :(
Cosmic Quest is easier than Divine Quest, I think. But I could be wrong.
I would recommend just not trading with them. It would also be nice if rare was a bit more descriptive, since I also got that low tier 2 type stuff, and wouldn't consider that rare. Especially when there were two distinct levels below that.
I get attached to my pixels, too; but only the ones whom I've had from early on (and hence gain some levels) and only those who are not trashy classes like Warrior. If it's a Warrior or a recent recruit, then I'd gladly trade him/her for a hot Elven mage lass ;)
Not sure if the event editor can handle it but it would be great to see what you are actually going to trade and then confirm it or cancel it. But current system is like here is your reward and you lost this. Not much to choose from. At least if there was rollback to return it into state before trade - save players inventory. Do trading as it is now and add line like "I diasgree with your propsal" and load players inventory before trading then cancel or trade again with new random trading.
generate the list you are going to take, then add and remove a tag that causes the item to be displayed (add wood 1, remove wood 1) works. Then send the list to the next event to be removed, and add an option to redraw, returning to the same adventure stage you are in.
This will cause the items being randomly selected to be selected again and displayed again. User repeats until they see a list of items they are willing to trade.
it's slow, ugly, and breaks emersion, but it works.
