Is this like CIV in a fantasy setting?
I saw the screens and the trailer and can't really tell if it's a CIV "clone" or more like a hex isometric rpg.

I just wanna build a fantasy empire, not really into playing another fantasy group based rpg.

It's very different from Civilization as far as I have played it. You play a small group of villagers, not a nation. I don't think you ever build an empire.

It's more of a strategy-RPG as opposed to CIV, which is a grand-strategy.

You feel much more ties with your tribe/villager... especially when one of your favorite villagers die, be they warriors, or gathers or crafters and so on and so on. And there ar emultiple paths .. its defintly alot more immmersive

This game is not Civ at all. Sure, it's a tunrn based strat type of game, but it's not an empire game. It's more of a survival game. It has a fantasy setting. You have one village. It has some RPG elements, where your people make levels, improve and gain skills. You can make weapons and other gear, equip your people as you see fit. There are many story quests; basically small story quests that you run into, along with a couple of major plot lines. You can make choices for a lot of these quests that affect the outcome, and there are often multiple ways to handle confrontations other than combat.

You will have your people doing gathering, crafting, exploring, fighting,

it's like a hybrid of HoMM and King of Dragon's Pass, with a touch of Gwent.

If you want a fantasy version of Civ, Endless Legend is pretty much what you're looking for.

Nah. Endless gets boring. If you really want fantasy Civ, then get Spellforce 2 (I think that's what it's called). There's also the Stardock game, Fallen Encantress.

Are you talking about Warlock 2? Though I haven't played it myself it seems like Spellforce 2 is an RTS/RPG game, not Civ-like at all.

Yes that's it, Warlock 2. Haha, thanks for correcting me on that one, I could not remember the game's name.
