Well, two new gods to check out ;) - or lvl Zorya to 5... and then another zorya game to find out what this "Son of Zorya" can do... tough choices xD
and actually it's 2 questions ^^
1) I perfectly understand that some gods like Zorya don't want Thea to go back to the way it was but there was no hint of it in the story up until the point where I had to tell the Elf that I wouldn't help him. In fact, up to that point I had told both the mage in the tower and the Elf that I would restore the Tree and I also told the group of the orc lady that I wouldn't join them.
It just felt a little unorganic, maybe the fact you won't help the elf should be reflected earlier or at least hinted at in some way. You shouldn't be able to run around, telling everyone you'd restore the tree and then suddenly have no way to actually do that. I don't know how hard it would be to make changes to that now though so please don't worry if that's not possible.
In the end it kinda worked out in my game, because I had always tried to make friends with orcs, goblins, etc. and had several "dark" creatures in my parties and for the future I will just make sure I follow this "RP-style" when playing Zorya or Morena but it still felt "forced" and not flowing out of the rest of the game.
2) This is a lore question: What is the reasoning for Horos not wanting to burn the seed? He seems to be the God who's best adapted to the darkness.
For the second question, like steven said, Horos' creatures are largely 'made of magic' and so destroying magic would kill most of his 'children'. So, restoring the way things were would return his domain (if you remember, his domain was stolen by the Dankness in some ways) but keeping the status quo would potentially strengthen Horos in the long run as all creatures would eventually become creatures of dusk.
I will soon make the lore-book for Thea available on Steam, so hopefully you can have a read about all the gods and their domains, if that is of interest.
That would be very appreciated. I love digging into the lore behind a good game story!
Novel or do we get some kind of book about the real life history, legends / folklore on which Thea is based on?
I really hope for the latter!
