It's sad to see this happen. This game is too good for it to just shut up like this.
There's been no tweets for two years (nearly). The only recent tweet was of TB's logo in respect to his passing. A bunch of people jumped on the recent tweet (in May) but they've given no response. No sign of this team from May 2018 until now. No sign of them (from what I can see) from September 26th of 2016 until May of 2018. So if the studio is closed down.... why do they still have a twitter account? Even if it's not active, they still have one which doesn't make any sense. Especially if the website is shut down.
This game has even been ported to the console! This isn't just a crash and burn on the PC but elsewhere as well. I really enjoyed the game. It makes me a little angry because it feels really irresponsible to just leave things unfinished like this. But maybe they hadn't intended for it to happen this way. Maybe they had every intention to finish it but then they just couldn't due to financial difficulties (if that's what actually happened).
A Hat In Time took YEARS to get off the ground and to finally be released. I get that things take time. But keep people updated. If you're never going to update the game... at least have the balls to tell people. Especially people who paid for a season pass that they will never be able to use. Too bad they couldn't rebuild through crowd funding or something.
Read the thread. Some people who complained persistently enough and didn't take no for an answer got a refund.
But in regards to the other episodes i guess thats not going to happen right?
Shame really because it was a pretty good story.
Too many indy devs with mouths bigger than their stomachs these days.
