Copper age quest broken?
In my persistent game "porcopolis" I encounter a strange feature. The copper quest requiering 2 foundry buildings, 2 produced copper ingnots and 2 produced axes will not be come to a successful end.
All of this I produced in quantiities (40 axes, 50 copper) but only the foundry part colours green, the other still pending. This is now for the entire week without changing.
Question for me is now, how does this working for the bronze quest?
Will it still fire and give me the bronze tech or will it be stalled until the copper quest is successfully released?
If this is the case I bet for a solution or my game is dead, after 6 weeks of intense gaming a great bummer.

This game is the 3rd try on persistent and the first where I played from the start on.
I think it will be the last if this situation will not be solved.
Very sad.

I think:
You need to have a production of +2 axes etc.
That is different to haveing produced 2 axes total.

Finally the quest is fullfilled, after I manage to forge the copper in the same province where I mine the copper and manufacture the needed axes too. All productions have to work at the same time in the same province.

But now I encounter similiar problems with key quests in a new game.
I produced leather clothing, but the quest not mentioning this for days.

The game is still very frustrating if you will play it the way it is.
The gamy benders (I call them RATPACK) are still developing in enormous speed. I don't know exactly how they doing this, but it is still not possible if you playing it in the given speed.

I think they use effects that are only realiseable when you bend some rules in a group.
I needed days for the first 6 techs to get the ideas and research them. They had leadership in the first day and claim all provinces they can get. Then you can quit, because the game is (at least in thgis part of the map) decided. And this happen in all persistent games with the same dozen of players. It's a shame. I like this game a lot, have played 4 real time games (just two from the start of the game) and have nearly 1000 hours of playtime. The only game I play with fun is the one where I've been located far away on a small continent, with a lot(! >3000 Barbs) around, but safe because there is water between us.

I scouted 400 provinces and still not found the RATPACK which is still present and dominate the score. I started with only 1 crop (potatoes) and slowley expanded until today I got 5 more and have 1600 pop in my city. Also I foundes 8 colonies with 4 having >800 pops.
But I will loose, the Ratpack got 75% of the points and will soon be ending the game.

I think they are the only ones who have fun on this kind of game in the long run. I don't know how they find people who play the game as subs the whole game without any chance of winning, as only one can win this game. But you need such selfless supporters or you loose anyway.

So sad.

they are trading techs. This game is meant to be a MP, so people organize themselves into a nation even without officially forming one because of the SP penalties. And you win as a nation, its impossible to win solo. What you are seeing is just people playing under a hierarchy, it does have some extra bonuses though.

I know about the Multiplayer focus of the game. But as player can spawn near their friends, the population is very uneven distributed across the whole world.

In my case I only had short living neighbours, which aren't able to support me with techs or trade. As I wrote, I explored all Lands in my reach(all lands in sight with a mx of 3 sea squares between them) but found only inactive players and ruins roamed with hordes of Barbarians.

However somewhere in the world are the main fraction, but unreachable for me, at least in the time frame before they will win. Very unsatisfactory. I build grandiose citys and fortifications but beeing the second in the score means nothing. Why is the world so big as the players all bubble in a rather small part of it? There have to be rules to hinder the bubbling early on. The change of ideas and mats should be restricted to certain key techs which every one has to develop by himself. So every player had a chance to build an empire, not only the bug users and gamy exploiters. The newest game (server 2) was decided after 2 weeks. Nobody will be able to stop this group that on every server be on top position.

Very sad.

hop onto the discord server and get to know all that is happening in game. Though its sad to hear about the people who spawned near you.Sometimes, it helps to have people nearby and sometimes, too many people spawn close to each other. In the upcoming update, nations will be hard to form officially, though its hard to stop people from teaming up. I dont really know whats going on in S2 personally though, I am having a much needed YMIR break currently
