Weird Monitor Issue

I played this game back when it was just Chapter 1. Recently found out the rest of the game was finished, so i redownloaded it. Problem is when i launch the game, my monitor switches to VGA(i only use HDMI) and the game locks up. The only way to fix it is to turn off my monitor and shut down the game from my second monitor. This is the only game this happens with, so i have to assume its the game, not my computer. Any suggestions?

Graphically, it shouldn't be doing anything special outside of the base AGS (Adventure Game Studio) settings. The game is a lower resolution (1024x768) because it's in retro style, but AGS should be handling that with a black box around it (unless full screen is set). Have you tried running the winsetup.exe file and changing the renderer/graphic settings just to see if anything changes? If that doesn't help and you still have problems, I can take it to the AGS forums to see if any other devs have experienced this with their games (this is the first I've heard of it). Ill do another reinstall and try that and report back to you

So i ran winsetup.exe and ticked the box to run in window mode and now the game runs perfectly. Thank you for your help, super excited to play this game again now that its complete.
