Why do my playes stats all go red?
This seems to happen enough for me to wonder if i'm doing something wrong.

Sometimes it'll be if i've played them heaps and heaps, but other times it'll happen to players who are only playing sometimes and not close to overplaying. Also it happens when a player hasn't been injured at all, happens to younger and older players, and also happens even if my player has zero negative issues, so i can't see it being either of those factors.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

Also what should i be doing if this happens to one of my players? My standard rule is to rest them from training for 2-3 days and don't select them for one game, is that the correct thing?

What do you mean they go red? You mean downward red arrows to suggest their attributes are decreasing? Is this happening in the off season or at all points? Have you noticed where some are perhaps red for a specific player, others are green?

Do you have any screenshot examples?

Happens for me aswell could be during the season then every attribute on a player gets decreased. Got this regen winger he's 23 now, in april last season he went from 5 stars to 3.5 stars in 1 month, now he's up to 4 stars no injuries no overtraning dunno really what happend to him

Star ratings are dependent on the quality of your squad and competition you're playing in, so if you signed a bunch of better players, some players star rating may go down. Or if you qualified for a better competition or received promotion, so I wouldn't use that as a clear cut guide for whether your players are getting better or worse.

Click on an attribute you think has decreased and it'll show you the history of said attribute over recent time.

Essentially what happens is, seemingly for no specific reason, around 90% of the players stats will have a red arrow next to them with their stats decreasing a small amount.

I know this can happen if a player has played nearly every game possible, and i understand that, or for an old player, or a kid training too much or played too much, but mostly this happens to players who have played rotation/squad player minutes, no injury, no negatives, check their training and there isnt any concerns in there, and it happens to normally aged players, if it happens to a kid or an old player i know their age can be a factor.

I'd just like to know the optimal way to address this when it happens, i 'rest' them from training for 2-3 days and generally don't play them in the next match, is that the right thing to do?

What are the coaches that you have like? Check the star ratings as easiest way to improve training is simply hire better coaches, also if this is after a full season, maybe some of your coaches left and you have no one assigned to training a specific area.

I'm in the championship with a team i took from the 6th division, all my coaches are at least 4 stars, and a couple 4.5, and i've hired a few extra coaches to makes all the training workloads light.

this happens during the season at almost random intervals, and fwiw i keep right on top of my coaches contracts, and chekc periodically incase one of them got poached and i missed it

Personalities and determination is my guess then, only two things I can think of other than the obvious upgrading of your facilities, but you are saying it's happening all throughout the season so it's not likely to be caused by signing players from teams with better facilities.

As for optimal thing to do, I simply interact with the player in question and warn them about training levels, often it does the trick and then I don't play them until the red arrows are gone or turned green unless I really have to. Seems to have worked for me so far, 4th season in.

i've got all my facilities about average.

i've never thought of trying that before, i definitely will give it a go, thanks.
