though i gotta say, its not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up story (it can be tho), but its ''human'' in every way. not a single character is fictional, they all feel real. i love that, when creators give so much depth into their work, thats what keeps me playing a 2nd and a 3rd time.
it comes along with pixel art (what else?^^), audio-dialogues, a good mix of easy and hard riddles and some interesting characters. it is a quite enjoyable game imo.
and another game i would tell, is 4PM.
well, it is apparently not listed as a "point and click" game, is extremely short and has tons of bad reviews. but i really love the atmosphere within the game - it is similar to the atmosphere i've felt in Void & Meddler again. just great^^..
On steam Positive (246) Negative (10) "professional" reviews are not worth to even read. Often they are giving high points only because it is AAA game and low point only because it's indie (not well know) game.
It is worth to mention Technobabylon too.
as you said, i usually give a sh!t about reviews - except hyped titles, lets plays are so much more worthy to get an decent view into a game.
thanks to this thread, my game list keeps growing^^..

There is still Samorost and Machinarium :)
Or from older Full Throthle, Syberia, Still Life (I can recomend only first one, second have very incredible idiotic inventory system)
