It still misses some features from Mad TV (which are on the devs ToDo list) but it also adds several new features which are mostly very well designed.
If you liked Mad TV, you will very probably like this too.
You dont marry the girl though !
Exact same thing I thought..
I shall have to throw money at this and find out.
I'll second that, it's got the looks and the gameplay but it's all fleshed out a bit more more i.e in Mad tv it was allways a crapshoot for me what kind of audience i'd get, in this game it's not only made plainer but feels like it's more a functional part of the strategy element.
The only thing asbent gameplaywise seems to be the gathering news articles which now more or less is replaced by publicity and advertising and the placing of satelites and such i haven't seen though perhaps i haven't gotten that far yet.
Visually i've only seen the female audience member occasionally comment on the programming, i'd like it if they all did that and conversely the distinct animations of indifference, like and dislike of Mad tv are either absent or i've failed to notice them. ( big part of the charm imo )
Overal i think if you enjoyed Mad tv odds are you'll have a good time with this.
There was a flollow up game too in anyones interested called Mad News, but.... It was only ever released in German.
