Limited Edition?
Any reason why the PC version doesn't have/isn't getting the Limited Edtion goodies that the physical PS Vita (JP only, apparently) has?

I know Degica have hinted that the OST might be coming out here a bit later on.
This is really meant to be a Vita-only release. It's incredible we're getting ports at all.

We really need translated arcade help panels, translated Darius Odyssey for all platforms, and some way to get at the complete Dariusburst series soundtrack.

Degica and Pyramid apparently have a LOT of stuff they're working on. The website claims they have DLC planned; they might reactivate the Event Mode, or just add more ships and challenges to CS Mode.

Considering AC mode is damn near unplayable on the Vita thanks to the screen size and resolution, I doubt that. Steam was probably the easiest sell since the original was already on PC hardware and that's who Degica has the closest working relationship with.

Doubly so considering Vita has no Multi support and no CS mode, with those '3000+' levels.

Vita absolutely has CS mode. It also has Chronicle mode, which is the 3000 mission one you're thinking about. You're right that it has no multiplayer, though.

Would just like to clarify that the Vita version of DariusBurst CS does have both the "Chronicle mode" and "CS Mode". The only feature that Vita does not have (compared to other versions) is local co-op.

Well, that was quite unclear in the PS blog post. Thank you for the clarification, even if an entirely different arena then where it would be pertinent. Please also consider clarifying this on the VIta's Sony Store listing as well.

This is what the Vita TV is for. However, I theorize we were never even supposed to get DBAC, at least not on the Vita.

What is not a theory is that this was intended as a Vita product, with the other versions being considered later. The Vita version is being sold as a repeat of the original PSP Dariusburst; an LE with a copy of Darius Odyssey. If you look in the Steam game files, you can see the music file for the new DBCS music named "vita_bgm.awx".

All that proves is that the asset was pulled from the Vita, nothing more. Doesn't prove that it was the original.
