So a Mix of Xuan Xuan sword and Wuxia?
The party movement stuff I mean :P
The Xuan-Yuan Sword 5 trilogy featured large parties. Some teammates were optional, and most had side quests associated with them, so I can see the similarities there. The three games were based on the stories of the Shanhai Jing and the Three Kingdoms. The Prequel to Tale of Wuxia can explore a variety of different storylines, since it's not going to be as constrained as Tale of Wuxia (meant to be a remake of the older game and was expected to retain most elements from it). Let's wait and see. Hopefully it turns out great!

The Gate of Firmament is game 12 in the core Xuan-Yuan Sword series, or something like game 22 if you count the other games. Hopefully 3 or the Scar of the Sky will see Steam releases eventually. They are 2D games so the graphics age well, and are absolutely awesome games-in my five top games of all time.

As for the Prequel for the Tale of Wuxia, it looks like the graphics have been improved. Hopefully Heluo Studio has a bigger budget this time to produce the game. I read that Tale of Wuxia was produced (all costs like marketing included) for under $500,000 (about $450,000).

I really hope I can see what studios like DOMO and Heluo, who have been limited to the Unity Engine, can accomplish with a $81,000,000 budget like the Witcher 3.

They are on the most part standalone stories. A few are connected in major ways, and most are connected in minor ways.

The Gate of Firmament is a standalone title. It's the latest core game of the series. There aren't many Chinese games available in English. The ones I can think of are Rain Blood Chronicles, Kung Fu Strike - The Warrior's Rise, Constant C, Gaokao.Love.100Days, Shan Gui, Blade and Sword, Prince of QIn, Runestone Keeper, and Planet Explorers.

This is sad, but i hope situation will change soon - since Western and Japanese RPG games is on decline and degradation course for last 5 years, Chinese games could really make a difference here, with proper translation and marketing strategy.

Because besides being slightly backwards in graphics, they are really awesome in gameplay and story aspects. Playing Tale of Wuxia and Gate of Firmanent really takes me back to 00's, golden age of gaming - Gothic, Morrowind, FFX, Baldur's Gate - the RPG games as they should be. Of the last five years PC non-linear strategy/RPG games i can name only Witcher series as fine RPG.

Fine RPG = game that will not only satisfy you while you are playing it, but also bring you some personal emotions and memories for a whole life aswell.

And loving the char designs
didnt expect Ji wen clan in story so , Loli Ji wen ftw?

The peacock girl is likely He quin and her salty mother? because it says no talking with men b4.
Small shaolin dude looks so different lol,
And nice to see Shens mother making it.
Tho I wonder who that blue clothed girl is who is supposed to be good in music
Melody? Gandharva?

I believe Ji Wen's clan has a very high chance to appear in the prequel as they introduce the Beast Mason in the website. The story is like 2 or 3 years before the begining of the Tales of Wuxia (when MC comes to Dukang). so I believe Ji Wen would appear as a teenager if she will really show up in the game.
