Green modifiers is the number you see when mouse over your attack.
Green percentage modifiers is the percentage value you see when mouse over your attack. Only given by some internal style and items.
Move modifier is the value for fist/sword/blade etc, the move that correspond to the skill that you are using. 0.5 at 0, 1 at 100, 1.4 at 120.
Skill modifier is the stat that boost the skill you are using. For example Finger-guessing Quan is affected by the ear stats at 50%.
Damage =
Actual attack + (skill damage + green modifiers) x (Level in skill 1-10) x (1 + move modifier) x (1 + skill modifier) x (1 + martial knowledge modifier + combat knowledge modifier + talent modifier + talent modifier) x (1 + Green percentage modifier)
If I understood it correctly, then basically let's say I am using some sword art - assuming I have a 200 weapon attack - it would result in modifier of 100(0.5 at 0) if I had 0 sword skill and 200(1 at 100) if I had 100 in sword skill?
And what happens if I use, let's say a staff weapon for that sword art, does this mean that essentiially - it doesn't change anything and even weakest sword would be better for that art?
Also is there any way to check the skill modifiers in game? For example is there any way to know that finger - guessing quan is dependent on ear stat as you mentioned?
Or by cannot use you mean - won't get bonus damage from it?
EDIT: or wait, since I played fists back then - it means I could use fists even with sword, but I would only get extra damage from gauntlets?
And if for example I used sword techniques and didn't have sword equipped - I wouldn't be able to use them?
Also, since the gauntlets are for fist weapons - what weapon finger techniques need?
Yup, you cannot use sword art if you did not have a sword equipped.
gauntlets is for unarm art. therefore finger techniques can be use with a gauntlets
