i suggest making a tutorial to make it easier to understand everything
also uh, how do i change my aim? like the blue line? i somehow always get it by the side of my ship, which isn't bad, but incase its better to fire behind/infront of you.

well...cannons are fixed to the side of the ship.. a few ships have abilities that fire forward...but yes...cannon is on the side of the ship..what are they supposed to do..shoot through your boat?

You just look on AI bot ships and they really can shoot in wide sector forward and to sides, but current, all ships controlled by players can use only their broadside cannons battery.
