Save Data Wiped

I just booted up Holiday Star after probably around two years of not playing. I just wanted to go through a few shrine visits--and encountered an issue. All of my save data is gone! I have all of the achievements still unlocked on my Steam account, but all of my in-game data is gone. None of my other games are like this, so I'm assuming this is a Holiday Star only issue. Anybody have any clue what to do?

Just wanted to add that I booted up Holiday Star to more or less do the same thing, and encountered the same issue (all of my in-game data is gone, despite all of the achievements still being unlocked on my Steam account as proof of completion).

Not sure what the cause would be, but any solutions would be welcome (or at least some sort of prevention for it happening again in the future; I don't mind playing through the game again to get all the in-game data back, but would rather it remained completed after doing so...).

The cause might have been related to Epic's purchase of the franchise. Then again, Steam updates could have affected an older cloud save. I played through and found some of my gallery items were locked again and had to do all the shrine visits and other side stories to re-unlock them.

I've had the same issue ever since my first time playing. First run worked perfectly but since then the save data will wipe after closing. I know the game is a bit old but I really hope they fix it!
