Time limit ruins the the game
This is my first telltales game and I was pretty exited for it. The fact that I have played lots of minecraft is also a big factor in what made me buy the game. Since I love games like Mass Effect where you can talk to people I also really like the idea of a game where everything is basically a interactive story.

Then I started the game and I was given my first question about the zombies/chickens. Just as I was about to pick an option, the game suddenly took the options away and I was like "WTF???". Then another question was asked and I saw what happened...the questions have a timer. And not even a long timer.

I'm sorry, but this utterly ruins the game for me. I am one of those people who actually likes to think about questions people ask before actually giving a reply to them. Picking between different options doesn't mean anything if you just end up picking something simply so that you will have picked something before the timer runs out.

I hate being dramatic here but this pretty much kills the game for me. This is a deal breaker.

Oh well, at least it was "only" 25 bucks.

Well... all of Telltale Games' say "Silence is a valid option"... and in real life if you are talking with somebody and they ask something and you stay 15 seconds without saying anything, it'd look weird.

Well if you aren't a slow reader, this shouldn't be a problem for you. As the comment above stated, you'd look weird if you just stood there for a while, do you take a long time whenever someone is conversing with you to think of a response? If you do, you have pretty bad thinking capabilities, to be honest
This isn't real life Bioware doesn't put a time limit on questions in their games and neither does the Fallout series. And yet this hasn't stopped those games from feeling super immersive. The realism argument is worthless.

Just saying, the time limit gives the average person enough time to think a bit. Also, using other games and developers isn't aiding your argument, because Telltale doesn't do that.

you could just pause the game by pressing space bar and then un pausing when you know what to say...(:

Yeah, the same thing happened to me in the first question. I was also forced many times to choose an option that wasn't what I really wanted to choose, not only because of the timer, but because sometimes it wasn't too clear for me to understand passing the eye. This happens, but I played the game twice and think I ended up getting used to it. And when I feel like I have to think a little bit more, I just pause the game with spacebar until I do my decision, like said in another comment =)

The issue i have with the timer is quite often i had to choose an answer before the person had finished what they were saying both parts of the argument or fully explaining the options.

I actually appreciated the timer because I'm so used to getting hung up over decisions.

You can press Spacebar at any time to pause the game
I wish TT would empthasis this to people
I will try the spacebar thing I guess.

If you can pause the game to make your decision, then why bother with a decision timer at all?! UGH.

If there isn't a time limit, then what's the point? If your that desperate, screenshot, and pause the game, then think.

No time limit? You're basically playing Episode
