So... It's a fail?

Of course, most people got sick of Minecraft 3 years ago, but damn. This game just came out and it's a huge fail?

Telltale games always make good stuff, and this is getting nothing but bad reviews on the most helpful section of reviews, and there's only 4 people playing it on Twitch right now, totaling to only 20-30 people watching the game. That's a big concern, since most games get at least on the front page at launch. I watched a few videos too, and the choices clearly have little to no power on the story, I guess that's why it's failing as a game. It's a cash in for the 9 year olds who foam at the mouth for this game. Not to mention Microsoft was being a backseat driver.


I am a little dissapointed, because The Walking Dead is a well made story game where one choice could have serious consequences for the rest of the game, and then they went to this burnt out franchise that had nothing to base a story on, and then made it poorly. You may get 3 choices, but 2 of them will end up being ignored by the other characters and you'll be steered to the outcome of the option you were "supposed" to choose.

Seriously, Minecraft should have stopped being popular 3 years ago. Why is it popular as ♥♥♥♥ still 5 years on with dry, empty updates?

It's a soulless cash-in based on a multi-million dollar franchise made by a Swedish guy who barely made a game in the first place and takes all the credit that the actual programmers put in, and promptly sold it to Microsoft where it can be refined into absolute gruel like this game.

It was a one-hit wonder and I regret ever putting those 13 dollars to it during the alpha those many years ago.

Notch really doesn't want to live with what he has created, saying that he takes all the credit would be wrong, or the only reason you're putting that out there is because everybody GIVES him the credit. Minecraft was recently sold to Microsoft, you can see what he had to say. Search it yourself.

A lot of the recommend reviews are also people who only played part of or the full first episode, and then continued to make reviews that aren't good. There are some good ones with good criticism, but a large majority are things like;

Microsoft: "Hey Telltale!"
etc etc etc
