FullScreen Mode

When I start up the game my screen goes all black as if it was going to go fullscreen then it just minimises.

Is there a way of switching OUT of fullscreen mode when you can't access the menu, like what happens with this issue?

I found out that if you start the game and then go into options, then video quality i think, turn on full screen and press return to previous screen. Then press return to previous screen once more and if it says save then you did it

But the problem is it already IS in fullscreen, but it just shows a blank screen for a moment, then minimises. No menu, no mouse, no way to turn off fullscreen, and no way to even play the game.

so for you it was just a PEBKAC error.

I dont know what to tell you man... I gues you could open steam go into steam library, and then right click minecraft:order of the stone and click on properties. As soon as you do that go into the local files tab and press "view ingegrity of game cache" That should restart the game with the default settings. No save. No pre edited settings. If that doesn't work, sorry man but I don't know what to tell you..

Figured out a work-around:

While the black screen is up (before it minimises itself) hit "Alt-Enter" followed by "Enter"

I'm guessing "Alt-Enter" just brings up a confirmation box, and you need to press "Enter" to actually confirm it.

Well, whatever, it works for me, and now I can get to play the game.

I have the same problem.
Tried this, but after I pressed enter sound played and nothing happened.
No menu or game. Only black screen. (Or white window if I do Ctrl + Enter again :c)
I wonder is that windows 10 only problem? Or there is someone who has the same problem with another OS?

Same result as before. I've already redownloaded game 5 times. Restarted windows 8 times. Looks like I have to wait for a patch to play :(

try launching the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7, I'm on Windows 10 with an ASUS laptop and it works without it but you should try it.

I have already done that. Nothing changes.
