Can You Also Save Gabriel?

Title might explain it. Also, if you don't want spoilers, don't keep reading for your own good.

So, in the scene when the wither storm infiltrates Gabriel's temple, and you have a chance to save either Petra or Gabriel, I always choose Petra: she's a good friend. :) Anyway, when you go to save Gabriel, after one or two quicktime events, you have to click an arm coming towards you: I can never beat it, and this is why I ask... is it possible to click that arm, maybe complete some more quicktime events, and eventually pull Gabriel down from the beam? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! :)

no you can't click it, they do that sometimes (you'll see it again in ep 3)

It's impossible, I tried to click that but it swings so fast. even if you managed to click it you get kicked right back in the portal.
