Is there any other way of obtaining Minecraft: Story Mode - Season 1 (episode 1-5 and adventure pass 6-8) and Season 2 (it has to be available in the UK)?

Without the steam key, because it is expensive (if possible) and not the disc, because no achievements and doesn't work on Steam. Thank you.

gog-games (dot) com is pretty much safe across the board. That's where I got both seasons of MCSM, and I can confirm they work, and had no issues.

They have one of the highest ratings in the piracy community. Yes, sometimes they're not 100% safe, although perhaps it may have been that one of the link hosters on their website downloaded infected files. MultiUP and Zippyshare are known to be such websites, but with a good adblock like uBlock Origin, they are pretty much safe, and the best file hosters out there, alongside MEGA, Dropbox, Google Drive and Mediafire.

One thing I highly recommend you do, is either run the files through a virus scanner, either using VirusTotal or through respectable AVs like Kaspersky or scanners like Malwarebytes. Also, you should be able to just access the Properties of the installer files, and check for a digital signature from GOG. GOG-Games only hosts the DRM-free games, so there's a limited library from (official) GOG that isn't available. They don't have to modify anything to get the installers for the DRM-free games, as there's nothing (DRM, Anti-cheat, etc.) to patch out, that's why it's so safe.

Also, please remove the link to the website. Steam doesn't take kindly to linking known pirate websites, and neither do the (active?) moderators for this game's hub. Even talking about piracy (in general, no linking or anything specific) on a HITMAN 2 discussion got me a community ban for three days there.

You can still get a PS3 version of both seasons afaik from Amazon. Not sure if they still sell it.

you can get them on key sale sites, ebay and places like amazon still. they are both rare, but occationally they show up as steam keys for the PC. As far as I know the game is not region locked.

But it's only season 1 on steam key websites not season 2. Also would it be possible to use the season 2 disc on steam if so then I might get one, as they are more cheaper than the key.

No, you can't use either season's PC DVD editions to redeem a Steam copy. The PC DVD versions work with Telltale's website, where you used to log in/sign up and download the episodes in-game. This is no longer possible due to the closure of the company and the closure of the download servers. The new Telltale isn't licensed to sell MCSM, so they cannot provide either Steam keys or allow players to download the rest of the episodes.

MCSM S2 PC DVD only contains Episode 1 on the disk, with the other 4 requiring a download.

The only legal option is to purchase a MCSM Season Two Steam key if you want it to work on Steam. Otherwise, you can purchase a PC DVD or console DVD version, but you will be able to play only the first episode, and that's pretty much it.

And that key could be fake as well, so it would be 127 bucks down the drain. It's the only way though. Maybe ask on reddit steam key request subreddits, maybe there's people that have a key or two for Season 1/2.

I think the best way is just to buy "the complete adventure" PC DVD because it's certain to have all 8 episodes (I bought it recently and it has all 8 episodes of Season One).

Well since you are in the U.K. there is Steam key's on Amazon, however it's only available in the United States. Now if you installed a VPN maybe you could try and get it, however I'm not sure but I think using VPN for Steam keys or whatever is against Steam's T.O.S. I would look into that before you do any of what I listed.
