help stuck on episode 6 chasing the white pumpkin.

i get up to chapter 4 where you chase him to the soul sand and when i get there i spam Q and then die out of nowhere and tried using my controller samo thing, i checked my frames per second by useing steam holding stedy 120 fps everywhere

Unfortunately episode 6 is super glitchy at least for me which was kinda funny. The characters in certain scenes were in the wrong places for dialogue and especially the chase scene. I was pretty tired playing through it multiple times to see different results to choices and almost every time in the chase scene there's a 75% chance that no matter how fast you are the lava melts you good. Most of the time I was actually all the way at the other side of the hole when it triggered the death scene.

Fortunately I found all of the glitches in it to be hilarious most of the time.
