Controller Support? Not working.

Hey.

After searching online, it says that a PS3 WIRELESS controller and a PS3 WIRELESS controller WITH a lead can work with steam.

I plugged my Wireless into my computer using a lead, but it doesn't work.

When I go onto "big picture mode" and to "controller options" then what? It registers that my controller is plugged in, but when I go to "configure" controls, all I see is this weird "Two D-Pad - Xbox button - Joystick thing" controller? What is this? And how do I get my PS3 controller to work with

-Minecraft Storymode 2

I use Nvidia Shield controller, and it works for me, but sometimes steam doesn't detect the controller. In those cases unplug the controller, restart the pc and or relaunch steam. Then plug the controller in and see if it detects it. Usually pressing the Home button 2 times will open big picture mode. I navigate to the game using the controller and start it from there.

I press the home button, and the 4 lights just flash. Nothing else

From experience with the DS4 it could be different with a PS3 pad but pressing the home button will just turn on the PS4.
