"Cities" DLC Highly misleading
Hey Gang! I and my friend both recently purchased The PC version of Splendor for Steam. We are avid players of the board game and really wanted to get the digital version. We also purchased "The Cities" expansion DLC. "The Cities of Splendor" is also the board game expansion consisting of 4 different additions to the game. Lo and behold, the digital expansion "The Cities" merely has ONE expansion. The cities card. Would be nice if the Developer would include any extra expansions free of charge to those who mistakenly bought the underwheming "The Cities" DLC expecting to get the additional playing cards, shields and towers.

You should be able to get a refund on the expansion, no querstions asked, if not a lot of time has passed since the purchase. That's official Steam policy. In any case, if you actually read the description, you'll see that there was no intention to deceive. It IS NOT listed as"Cities of Splendor". And the description is very specific as to what is included. But we all make mistakes, and Steam should give you the refund, no questions asked.

It's easy to make a whiny demand as a customer, much harder to imagine the implementation :steammocking:

If I am demanding anything, please clarify to me as to what that is. I am simply stating that in the "real world boardgame" the cities expansion includes all the expansions I previously mentioned.
Perhaps go to another forum to troll for angry respoonses. Thx.

Actually "The Cities" is a small part of "Cities of Splendor" -- It's exactlly the same as it is in the board game. It can be confusing because of the similarity of the names. But if you had actually read the description, it makes it very clear. In your defense, I can understand the mistake. But please don't claim that it is misleading, because it isn't -- just accept that you made a mistake, get your refund and move on. Everyone is entitled to make a mistake. There's no blame on anyone. Don't sweat it. And don't turn it into more than what it really is.

Because there was never a standalone "Cities" expansion offered for the boardghame. To actually use the picture form the front cover of the expansions boardgame ( be it the French version, Les Cities de Splendor Extensions) is just uncool, and I'm calling them on it. You don't feel that is misleading in any way? To have to scroll down to read in detail that the expansion offered is not actually as shown? Yeesh. Sounds like a used car sales lot.

Imho, it's marketed better than the way the boardgame was. This way you can pick and choose modules, instead of paying for stuff that you either don't like, or that are outshone by the ones you do (so will never play).

My question is: Why are there no reviews for "The Cities" DLC? seems like with this much discussion someone would bother to write a review for it. guess people don't care THAT much, lol :emofdr:
