Single best MMO on the market.
Let me preface this by saying that I'm an MMO junkie.
I've played WoW (Vanilla - MoP), FFXIV, Rift, SWTOR, GW/GW2, LOTRO, Skyforge... You name it, I've probably played it.

This game trumps them all. It's PvE style is fantastic, it's combat system is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise stale MMO scene.

The end game raids and dungeons here are on par with original WoW vanilla raid - I immediately felt that rush that's been missing since MC, BWL, BT and Ulduar.

This game also has a great cosmetic system, with some of the best housing implementation that's ever been done. Seriously, people are ADDICTED to it.

It's also the best implementation of F2P that I've seen out there, without a doubt. You have access to literally the ENTIRE game - seriously, there's no catch. Every dungeon, every battleground, every class, every race, every raid... It's all open and available, completely free.

I sincerely recommend this game for anyone that hasn't tried it yet - and for those vets that tried it early on: there have been MAJOR changes. I really recommend giving the game another shot, because it's improved in leaps and bounds!

Don't know... Last time I checked, the game had above 80 on Metacritic, which indicates that the reviews were generally positive. Additionally, I'm guessing the decision to switch the game to F2P mode was not mode by the developer but by the publisher, NCSoft. That, however, is an entirely different topic for discussion.

Wildstar is not in any way, shape or form a WoW-like/clone game. It is drastically different in a lot of its aspects, starting from combat and ending with stat and gearing mechanics. And, surprisingly, it works: telegraph-based combat is intuitive and comprehensive, runening system (as it stands for its current iteration) provides great customisation and ability to get the stats you want and not those that are hard locked into a piece of gear without any way of changing them.

The game has content for various types of players, be it casual, hardcore or anything in between. Housing is one of the most amazing features in Wildstar - you can create, literally, anything you want on your plot and other players have the ability to see your creations with just a couple of clicks using a user-friendly housing interface. You can make epic houses, forests, canyons, jumping puzzles, hoverboard racing tracks, whatever you wish really.

Raids are immensely entertaining and enjoyable since they are fast paced, require your attention, make you be aware of your surroundings. There are absolutely brilliant mechanics on a great number of bosses and mini-bosses in Wildstar raids to overcome which the raid group must be coordinated and prepared to face the fact that if even one person messes up, everyone might die in a matter of seconds. You can't just bruteforce your way through with your gear - you need to be on top of your game as well.

Limited Action Set (LAS) allows only up to 8 abilities to be selected and used, but you are free to change what abilities you have any time outside of combat. While it may sound that having only 8 buttons is a mind-numbingly small number, keep in mind that while pressing those buttons you also have to dodge things, roll out of things, sprint out of things, jump and double jump over things all while doing damage or tanking/healing.

To summarise, Wildstar is indeed a terrific game. Yes, it may be somewhat rough around the edges in some places, but it has a character, it has its charm and it has its personality with good visuals, pleasant soundtrack and a great deal of player character customisation. Even if you don't plan to dedicate much time to this game still be sure at least give it a try and see what it has to offer. Chances are you might like what you see and stick around to see more.
So,it has a inferior score than the ones I mentioned, with worse sales than them. Clearly better. And im sorry about your opinions about what Wildstar is or it isnt. Already played it,already read a lot of things about the game. It is the best MMO for you? Sure, its personall taste. Its the better MMO in the market? Not really, at least not by any kind of metrics used to measure it.

Are you saying that judging solely on the review scores we should automatically assume the game is decent or not? In that case CoD games should truely be the pinacle of game design and development, which they surely are not.

While my experience with the MMOs is not as vast as that of other people, namely WoW since the beta of vanilla and on and off up to the current day, GW2, FF14, City of Heroes and Tera, believe me when I say that PvE-wise out of all the titles I have mentioned Wildstar has the best instanced content, be it shiphands (solo-dungeons), adventures, dungeons themselves and raids.

Review score, sales, lack of playerbase are good indicators, yes.
I cant believe you when I already played most of them and formed my own opinion.

Meh. WoW is better
You mean that Tolkienan, old-as-dirt, meme game about elves, orcs and flying monsters? Ew.
Its still the main reason why MMOs are a thing. It inspired a ton of mmos, and still has most content that 99% of the options. Stilll the most played paid MMO,even being old, when games like Wildstar cant maintain that business model for more than a few years/months.

To be honest, I am not entirely sure what point are you ultimately trying to stress in your statements. I have expressed my own, personal opinion about this game, which can be summarized as "give this game a try, it might surprise you and you might like it".

If yours is "don't bother with this game, it's not worth it", especially if you yourself have not played it, I still recommend you to give it a shot.

Besides, isn't this the whole point of releasing the game on Steam is to get more people to see the game and play it, which could potentially increase the player base? You can't really blame the developers here since they are obviously taking steps to address the issues the game currently has.

[Edit]
To be fair, one of the main reasons people still play WoW, even with such questionable design decisions that Blizzard has made regarding their game, is simply because people had already invested a huge amount of time into that game way back in the day and letting something like go is incredibly hard. With every new expansion of WoW people still come back, see the new toys and leave once again as the player base statistics clearly show.
This, however, is, once again, a topic for another discussion.

But it is an opinion. More so, both I and OP have elaborated on our opinions and pointed out exactly what made us have such opinions.

Additionally, I have not included the mmos I have played in the original post that you have replied to for one simple reason - I don't think that really matters. You don't need to have an insane amount of experience in dealing with online games in order to enjoy one.

Well, Wildstar gives you a hard start and to be honest, I didn't enjoy leveling that much, BUT when I finally hit Level 50, I really got sucked in.

Still doin' PvP in another MMO, but all my PvE ambitions have totally moved to Wildstar. There's nothing better atm out there if you want challenging content. But: If you get easily frustrated and consider yourself as a casual and no player addcited to challenges and hardcore raiding: Better don't try it, you'll waste your time and be disappointed.
Store_Brand_Redd 15 ABR 2016 a las 1:20 p. m.
Speaking as someone with a 50 on Dominion, I still have some a good time, now that Arcterra's out, but it's more on the end of 'pretty good' rather than the GOTY. Housing's absolutely amazing, but for the leveling experience it's more on the end of WoW-esque Quest Hubs. The Cash Shop's the most reasonable one I've come across though.

There are a few little complaints such as explaining runing a bit better, and the bias towards Exiles in all the presented advertising cinematics, as well as the population, but for those who say it's a dead game, NCSoft probably wouldn't have authorised paying people for content patches and a Steam Release for a game that's getting ready to eat a proverbial bullet.

Come on Carbine, do some actual advertising.

I started on D2, then WoW and once WoW went easy mode I moved to numerous mmos. None, kept me, cuz they all started out ok, but ended up a snoozefest. I never heard of WS. So, I DL'd it and gave it a try and liked it. I still like it. I've even tried BnS and sorry but with all the bots..NTY> All I can say is give WS a try, its free. If you don't like it, it cost you nothing. Go by what you see and experience. I will prolly always play WS and still have fun in it

I'm excited for when many more people find out about this epic game! WildStar on steam is going to boost it's popularity and so hopefully It'll see lots of new players on it. Because in my personal opinion WildStar is my favourite MMO to date. And currently it's sort of hiding in the shadows. Wondering if it should come out for everyone to see it. And soonly it will come out in the biggest gaming community.

XD

I have to disagree. Leveling is boring. Variety in classes is lacking. They all have one weapon and nothing more and one or 2 skill rotations. If they add more weapon types and skills and more things to do out in the world, it'd be a lot better.
